And if it did ever happen, I'd swim up to Wellington, grab KC, tie her to a raft, and push her out to sea for her betrayal. If she makes it back onto NZ shore she'll be shot dead.

How serious do you mean for the arguments? It's barely ever for my girlfriend and I, I haven't had any bad arguments in almost a year that we've been together. Occasionally there's little stuff but that's usually just stirring each other up, we never get shitty at each other or yell or anything like that

Arguments between couples is completely normal. It means you can talk openly and honestly with each other. It's the ones who say "no, we never fight or argue" and bottle everything up who you need to worry about.

Not really, a couple being able to say "You fucking piss me off when you do that" is a good thing.

Most of the arguements were over little things but they ended in tears. I guess what made that happen went on behind closed doors but yeah :-"

For examples:
-Having a fight over one drinking too much when he had the same amount as everyone else. She made him have water :-# and the rest proceeded to call him waterboy for the rest of the night
-Hopping into a designated car to go home (5 min drive) when there was only one spot left.
-I hung out with them at the end of NYE and they seemed fine and were having fun but another couple who had to sleep in the same room said they were argueing again and crying. Fuck do i know what that was about
-Getting in trouble for playing pool when the shower was free

They are just examples off the top of my head and i guess because i've been single all my life all of the aboves seem like non issues but i guess it just feels weird seeing a mate not having as good of a time as i know he could and like he was always cautious about what he was doing so he wouldn't get in trouble.

 Even though my relationship is apparently unhealthy I'd rather have it how it is than like this. As far as I know this type of thing isn't normal to most relationships, maybe the people involved here are a bit immature

Saw my best friend on a date with the one woman I've ever loved tonight. Basically hit rock bottom now. Especially since he's told me he'd never date her and that he knows exactly how I feel about her

As harsh as it sounds, it's best to move on. Don't get caught up in their affairs, and don't hold it against your mate too much. In my 10 year dating experience, there's no such thing as "the one." You'll fall out of love with her as suddenly as it seemed like you fell in, and some new bird comes in and takes your figurative "heart".

Don't worry about the girl, the 'right one' is still out there waiting for you, I know it feels shitty but you'll get over her.

As for your best friend, doesn't seem like much of mate to me....I might be too harsh but if that's what a best mate does, then you're better off without him.

A good friend of mine is going out the chick I fell for, the same chick who said she doesn't do relationships, he also said he didn't like her and though she wasn't even attractive and they have also made a lot of other people hate me because it's apparently all my fault. (?) What an interesting life they must have

Look on the bright side, you're free to do anything you want, you're not bound to anything unless you insist that you are. Live your life as happy and fulfilling to show them that they are living the shallow, pathetic life

The fact that you told him that would have been added incentive for him to go there.

Chin up mate.

Thanks for the words guys. I'm feeling better about it now, no longer extremely pissed off about it. I probs over-reacted a bit last night. I know there will be someone else for me, in the mean time I'll enjoy the single life and doing what I want without having to worry about someone else :d

As for the other 2, they can be together. If I'm around them, I'll be mature and accept that they're together. I'll be seeing my mate at the game tonight, so it'll be interesting if the topic arises there. While I'm disappointed in him for doing it to me, he's entitled to date whoever he wants, it's just a shame that verbal contracts aren't legally binding haha

Thank fuck I'm not the only one to do this. I've had the same thing happen to me a few times, and it pissed me off, but it's not the mates fault that I didn't pounce or she wasn't into me. The mates still fun to be around, we just don't discuss sex lives.

Doubt id ask someone that if i wasnt keen on her.

What if the girl had given absolutely no indication of being interested?

Then it's a definite yes if you haven't given indications that you're into him.

Consider it a way of breaking the ice.

It's because he's trying to figure out where he stands. I'd say he's into you.
