That's very interesting, I wasn't aware of the bad blood between the two.

Hypothetically speaking, if that rumoured reform were to happened, I wonder if Sutherland Association would have approached a different club to form their alliance with like Bankstown Association did with Canterbury Berries because of the bad blood with Bankstown City. If Canterbury Assoc' choose APIA as their club, perhaps Olympic will make a play for the Sutherland Assoc.

there is no other club that could represent the shire. plain and simple.

very disappointed with our game yesterday against bonno. we were very very poor. we have been competitive in and unlucky not to win our previous games but yesterday, on such a wonderful occasion for the club, big crowd, and the team were simply poor. josh lawson marched too so hes out for the manly game.
full credit to bonno.

Sometimes little things make big differences, Younis is on fire for us this season and he did not disappoint with that goal yesterday, otherwise he had a quite game just like a lot of other our players.

Your goalkeeper had a shocker 1st goal suspect and 2nd definitely his fault, also your no 12 upfront was kept quiet I do not think he had a shot on goal, otherwise you controlled the midfield for most of the game.
Definitely good atmosphere and good crowd.

husy up front didnt get enough ball. keeper looked shaky but always produced some saves. end of the day we didnt deserve to win, simple. we were ordinary and expect changes before this sunday's game against manly.
its embarrassing as weve got a great squad and we should not be last on both the club championship and in first grade.
big crowd, great atmosphere, just a terrible performance.

as for the field, its fine.

I'm hearing that Sutherland's pitch needs a lot of work. Apparently there are bare patches in spots and they couldnt even train last week after some rain left the pitch flooded

The playing surface looked pristine, but when running on it appeared that the sand was dispersing everywhere, like the turf was just laid.

BWE no 10 in 1st 10 min and Rockdale’s no 19 got hurt and subbed, to me looked like no harsh challenges but pitch related.

Bicentennial Park had work done to the drainage system which made the ground unusable for about 2 weeks. Rockdale played 2 home games at Seymour Shaw Stadium instead. This was their first game back at home.

yep. parted ways with wally. new coach to take over for this weekend. i wont say who the new coach is until we do the official press release suffice to say that im happy with the appointment and hopefully we get results. weve played some attractive football and have a young side. we should of beaten the wolves, blacktown and sutho but didnt. coaching is a tough gig, you need some luck and unfortunately wally didnt have it. anyway, bring on manly.

its not kuleski and his name doesnt end on a ski!

batfink, mate, we have a very young and talented squad that should be 0 from 5. been unlucky in 3 games, played poor in the other two. could be well up the ladder. end of the day my opinion of thw squad has not changed although an extra striker would be handy. i never pumped wally up but i thought hed get the job done. to date it hasnt worked for him and so the decision had to be made. as for our chances, i was optimistic we would sneak into finals football. right now, thats extremely unlikley and theres a long way to go. but as i said, something had to be done because i think our team is a better side than the likes of parra, wolves, spartans. anyway, lets see how we go on sunday. were missing a couple of players through suspension and injury but theres enough talent to get a result if each player plays for the full 90 minutes and we cut out the silly mistakes.

illdiscipline and mistakes has killed us. to some extent, that comes down to the coaching.

actually when the parra squad are allowed to play their game they are pretty good, needs a tweak in the attacking midfield area, we have the attacking midfielder but he is being used as a utility and its a real waste, he actually setup our goal against olympic.....we have a very very young squad easily the youngest in the league......and it show, they are a better squad than last year....they have also been very unlucky.....they are all shit scared of sterry and playing with no confidence due do it......

I'm glad it's not Kulevski, he would have destroyed you like he destroyed Bankstown. Guess local Maso gossip isnt the most reliable.

Knee-jerk raction by the Suns.

You can't blame the coach for all the missed chances, bad luck etc.

went to the spartans match.
spartans gifted sutherland the first goal, was a pass back to the keeper, but not enough on the pass, so the striker rounded the keeper and in.
spartans equalised a couple of mins later from the penalty spot. zahra converted the penalty.
1-1 at half time
sutherland dominated the second half, spartans were in the match thanks largely to their goalkeeper.
then the red card and penalty came. imo the red card was harsh. it did hit his hand, and he was pretty much the last man, but he hardly had time to react. i think a penalty and a yellow would have been sufficent. sutherland converted the penalty so 2-1 sutherland playing against 10 men.
the third came, maybe 10 mins later, simple tap in, 3-1.
then the game opened up even more as spartans went for it. sutherland scored a diving header to make it 4-1.
