Quote:I think you definately need a left winger, O'hara is the closest thing you have to a LM and hes more a CM/DM. Filling up LM with Downing will mean the RM's (Lennon and Bentley) will either get 50% each of game time theyre getting now or 1 will be demoted to the bench. Either of those two wouldnt be happy starting on the bench for 90% of the games. I doubt either of them would be 'happy' starting 50% of the games either. Thats why they may aswell sell one of them.
Spurs are also likely to get a few pompey boys. Defoe looks very likely, Kaboul maybe, Crouch?, Krancjar. I think Krancjar would be great alongside Modric. As I have said to afro numerous times (I'm pretty sure it's into double figures now), Spurs are in 4 competitions. UEFA Cup, Carling and FA Cups as well as the Premier League means that you need depth in positions. While one of them may not be happy as a benchwarmer, we play so many games there isn't really such thing. Our starting XI changes so frequently out of necessity that both get ample game time at the moment, and this will continue if we bring Downing in. Quote:And then what do you do with Bentley?? He's too good to be a player who sits on the bench and neither him nor Lennon will be willing to accept that kind of role in the team. They're both more than worth of first team football and to have one or the other sitting on the bench is a complete and total waste. Even you should be able to see that Middlesbrough have rejected Stewart Downing's transfer request, with the winger looking to secure a move to Tottenham.
Harry Redknapp has confirmed Stephen Appiah is training at white heart lane. See above.

What the hell do they want him for? Schwarzer is just about the best keeper in the prem at the moment. Thats what I was thinking I spose Schwazer is old, and FM tells me 3mil would be a bargain and a half for Fulham, but I get very defeensive about the starting spots of Aussie players.

Good for Defoe. Apparently he recieved death threats from fans and was desperate to leave. Wouldnt be suprised if he his agent wrote them, he licked the stamps and harry redknapp posted them TBH.
15m for Valencia. Pass. Rather buy McGeady for 5m. Or McGeady for 15m.
Kameni is a bit of a dud. 3m is a decent price for him. I think hes a bit like Calamity James.

It's the transfer thread, not the every-rumour-started-by-notw thread. Quote:Kameni is overrated in FM. He's not overrated in FM, he is good. Whether or not he is overrated in real like is a different matter.

Thats interesting. I construct an image of Donovan in a Bayern Munich jersey extremely easy. Hmmm..

I find it a bit odd given his time spent at Bayer Leverkusen, that he'd want to return to germany.

He's become a pretty important player in midfield for us this season with all the absentees. There would be absolutely no truth to this rumour.

Yeah. Its the 31yo Denilson whose playing back in Brazil ATM. I did some digging. He would be signed at the end of the season too. Not that promising of a move.
