feel for gomes, however carlo seems much more solid.
if given goes to city itll be great for them, they have signed bridge, de jong, bellamy (looking good) they are also looking to snap up santa cruz and have recently been linked with diego so if half of them transfers are made then expect city to battle it out and take arsenal's posi 5th IMO.

Fair do to the Villa - they've already made a point of signing four first class central defenders (Laurson, Davies, Knight and Cueller) and have also been linked with Matty Upson. It appears that Martin's policy is to sign anyone that the big 4 don't want and try and beat them with pure weight of numbers!

 This shows that you only have to have a month and a bit worth of good football to make a great team after being around for a while (or be an ex Ranieri player)?

The only player that I see in their first team squad that seems to be left footed and a mid (LM Nedved is) is Iago Falqué (he is 19 this year and they signed him from Barca B). The age is a problem, unless he is good enough (was close to a debut).

Tranquilo Barnetta would be awesome in Engalnd, he has dropped off the radar a bit but he was so promising leading into WC06. And Juve need an do need a replacemnt for Nedved but the likes of Giovinco and Marchisio are some of the hottest prospects in world Football at the moment and thay have heaps of great young talent coming through up front with Michelle Paolucci on lean at Catania and being in with a chance of picking up young player of the season as well as Cristian Pasquato who is a dead ball specialist and on loan at Empoli, both of them were here in Melbourne last year
