I remember Manucho playing his debut and it was Wellbecks as well and he scored from a Manucho pass, it was probably his only game though. Cant see Manucho playing for us especialy with such awesome young talent coming through the ranks like Macheda, Campbell and Wellbeck

i think liverpool would be better off spending their time going for villa. finding a second striker should really be rafas priority and him and torres work well together. barry is better off at villa, you can just see him being a keane version 2.

Deco's not used to the physicality (the way ballack wasn't), he'll adjust. Quaresma will stay. But truth be told, I forgot that he even played there.

Quote:Everton are lining up a summer bid for Newcastle striker Michael Owen with the former England star prepared for a cut in his £100,000-a-week wages. (Daily Express) He was from that side of the river, they could use him. I'd be more concerned if he could still produce the old magic. Quote:Manchester City are in talks with Lisbon's 22-year-old midfielder Miguel Veloso over a £15m move. (Daily Mirror) Veloso would be better...Cana usually plays just infront of the back four too, which is not Alonso's role.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz his number one summer transfer target - and hopes he can land him for a cut-price £12m. (Daily Express)
Wenger's interest in Santa Cruz could signal the end of Emmanuel Adebayor's Arsenal career. (Daily Mirror)
Manchester City say they may miss out Santa Cruz but are back in the race to sign £35m-rated Valencia striker David Villa. (The Independent)
And City are interested in winger Arjen Robben, who could be offloaded by Real Madrid in the summer. (Daily Mirror)
Manchester United are poised to make a £30m bid for Lyon striker Karim Benzema - to replace Carlos Tevez. (The Sun)
Djibril Cisse's goal drought could lead to him failing to secure a permanent deal with Sunderland. (The Sun)
Aston Villa striker John Carew has disappointed Tottenham by insisting he wants to stay in Birmingham. (Daily Star)
Manchester United skipper Rio Ferdinand will be out of action for at least three weeks after the cracked rib he picked up during the Champions League win over Arsenal led him to start coughing up blood. (Daily Mail, Daily Mirror)
However, some reports are saying Ferdinand's injury is not as bad as first feared and the 30-year-old could be fit to face Arsenal in the second leg on Tuesday. (Daily Star, The Guardian) Hmmm What do you make of that? Who is more reputable? Guardian and Star, or Mail and Mirror?
The climax to the Scottish football season could be abandoned under government plans to combat any escalation in swine flu. (Daily Record)

Spectators have been barred in Mexico Torres, Is it even bad in Scotland though? TBH whilst really, really not wanting to part with Tevez it seems we may be doing so I am finding myself now very excited by Benzema rumours but I really hope he does stay

TBH whilst really, really not wanting to part with Tevez it seems we may be doing so I am finding myself now very excited by Benzema rumours but I really hope he does stay They are playing all 600 odd league games in Mexico behind closed doors this weekend. An additional 12 matches that would ordinarily be shown on pay tv are being shown on FTA. I can't see how it would be nearly that bad in Scotland. As for Arsenal moving for Santa Cruz...sounds like hopeful fans. Lets be honest, that goes well against Wenger's transfer policy, he's too old. And even then you already have Walcott, Van Persie, Eduardo, Bendtner, Arshavin and Adebayor up front. How many strikers can you POSSIBLY need.
