Jamie O'Hara has joined Portsmouth on loan from Spurs
Dynamo Kiev are in negotiations to sign Andriy Shevchenko.
Gianfranco Zola is hoping to add another striker to his West Ham squad before the transfer window closes next week. A lot of talk of it being Goran Pandev on westham forums...
Portsmouth have continued to strengthen their depleted squad with the signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng from Tottenham.
Martin O'Neill expects Richard Dunne to complete his transfer from Manchester City to Aston Villa within the next 24 hours after the two clubs agreed a fee.
Stoke City have completed the 5m signing of Middlesbrough forward Tuncay, this comes after signing Robert Huth from the relegated club.
Everton have completed the signing of French centre-back Sylvain Distin from Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee.
Bayern Munich have completed the 22m signing of Arjen Robben from Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have announced that they have sold Wesley Sneijder to Inter as they continue their summer rebuilding programme by off-loading another unwanted star.

Far out. Aston Villa have signed our best player, Stephen Warnock. Guess who are replacement is for him? Fucking Pascal Chimbonda, one of the worst players I've ever seen. Fucking hell. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/aston_villa/8222668.stmhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/8222374.stm

What do you mean was a great player? He's never been a good player, never will.

If Bayern Munich can keep Robben fit, they're ganna have killer wingers... Ribery and Robben on the flanks, doesn't get much better than that. I honestly thought Real Madrid would have kept him, when he's on song, he's one of the best in the World, and if you had Robben on the left, Ronaldo on the right, Kaka' and Alonso coming through the middle, that's a killer side to have at your disposal.

Wigan have launched an audacious bid to take Celtic's Australian striker Scott McDonald on loan for the rest of the season. Full story: Daily Record
WTF. Why would Celtic do that?! Would be interesting to see Macca in EPL though if it happened.

In other words, his agent just wants to make a quick buck, and doesn't care about his client. Isn't Celtic the club McDonald has supported since he was a kid? If so, and he's there, playing well, scoring goals, it'd be hard to get him away from there for a club like Wigan.

Yeah, but Macca might think after 3 good seasons he should try something new, just for a change.

Aye, doubling his wages and gaining him access to a higher league - no way that could possibly be of benefit to McDonald.

I just wonder if it'd be beneficial moving to a club who look like they'll be in a relegation battle at the end of the season. Has McDonald said anything to the media about the deal?

I think it was INSPITE of Shaggy rather than BECAUSE of him though. He is a liability. Watch how many times he gets skinned this season, or how many times he dives in after the ball has gone. Lovely lad, tries his guts out, but not up to the EPL.

Lovely lad, tries his guts out, but not up to the EPL. Shaggy probably stood out because the other Hull players picked up on his enthusiasm. When he left and the wheels fell of after d1ckhead Brown berated the players in public, Hull's performances went down the gurgler as if they were trying to relegate the club. Hull, now in their second year, are not going to surprise anyone and as a result need to pick up points consistently and not just in the first half of the season. If Shaggy can enthuse the better players around him, then it may be worthwhile.;)

I am really p1ssed off at Phil letting Michael Turner go to Sunderland. The man is in cloud cuckoo land. He's the farken captain of the side and one of the few players with some class at Hull. It is not as if Hull are burdened with fantastic defenders at the club.:(

As I understand it Liverpool never got to talk to the player because they wouldn't pay Hull's asking price. Liverpool offered 6 mill, Hull said 'double it', Liverpool walked away. We offered 6 mill, Hull said 'double it', we offered about 4 mill in add-ons, they snapped our hands off. Basically, if we play in Europe and Turner plays for England, Hull will get 10 mill. The difference appears to be that your Americans don't want Rafa to spend any more, whilst our American is happy to let Brucie spend. Sunderland will most likely be doing a bit more business before the deadline - one or two coming in, and a few going out (Healy to Coventry, Nosworthy to Hull and Collins to Stoke are all on the cards, plus Leadbitter, Edwards and Murphy on Ipswich's radar).

They know they are screwed this season and want to get as much money in the bank as possible.

Do you know if Frazier Campbell will go to Hull or is it no longer part of the deal? It was a few days ago in the rumour mill!!

Pretty sure that was just a rumour. As I said, the board wanted cash - and the assurance of more cash to follow.
Brown could have kicked up a stink - but I suppose he probably feels lucky to still have a job after the way the wheels to came off last season (and his part in it with the spirit sapping on-pitch team-talk).

I remember that farking talk. Brown should have been severely reprimanded for that if not given the bullet at the end of last season. I reckon most of the transfer deals have fallen through because players just don't rate him highly as a manager. If Hull had a Coppell or a Zola just to give some examples, Hull City would have a better first 11 than they do today. Campbell a great player. He'll come in handy for Sunderland.

I think Hull being Hull plays a fair part in them not being able to sign good players. I've been to some pretty crappy towns in my life - but most have redeeming factors - not so Hull. About the only good thing you can say about Hull is that it's not Grimsby.
