The election will be still in September . A change of leadership doesn't change a thing. The party with a new leader usually get better polls for a while

Surely this is so when Gillard gets smashed at the polls Rudd can come in with the "I always supported the Prime Minister" spiel, and take control of a refreshed labor party.
