Could you please provide evidence of the ABC's alleged bias

Im not generally right wing, in fact i don't think i have much of a political stance anymore. I find Australian politics to be very backward. One party will say one thing and the other will say the opposite just because they the opposition. Its almost as if they dont actually listen to whats being said or care about the country.

Im friends with people who work in refugee law, work with asylum seekers etc etc, the whole lot, ive know asylum seeker, seen things first hand. Ill give one example. A girl from Zimbabwe wanted to come over here and study. She was told that because her parents were not yet citizens, she would have to pay for this that and the other. She basically was here studying during the day, working during the night just to cover those fees and never had much time for much else. She did extremely well in her degree, flying colours the lot. Struggled to get a job. One of her classmates was an asylum seeker. Her and her family were giving housing by the government, fees were paid for and study loans granted. After she graduated she was put on a job seeker centrelink plan, so even though she wasnt working, she was still getting centrelink funding.

My cousin and his family have been trying to buy a house for 6 months. There is an area not far from where i stay where the government has bought about 5 houses at the price they were listed or higher for asylum seeker housing.

I know the old argument is that well the current government were from asylum seekers or some nonsense, but you cant really compare the times. Back then, the whole world was being explored and expanded. Now its just people who are jumping on a boat and doing something illegal. I know going to a refugee camp may not be the best option, but surely at some point the government has to say no.

I made no comment either way, I merely asked for supportive evidence to back up a statement of bias, I believe I regularly provide supportive evidence to my commentary.....is that unreasonable?
