So Tony is upping the fear factor again and trying to act tough because they're trying to get this ridiculous data retention policy through. In the senate commitee hearings it was established that: * There's no evidence that data retention helps prevent crime * They have no idea how much it's going to cost * It's easily circumvented by anyone who wants to Good government hasn't started yet. It will start some time in 2016 if people don't get fooled by these clowns.

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Really? That's being chewed out? Poor little Tony. Social standards change over the years. Personally, I think less would be made of it if he hadn't made gaffe after gaffe already.

It's pretty hard to take any comments about media bias and character assassination claims from rusty when he blatantly condones it when it suits him. On another note, Turnbull is going to get wrapped over the knuckles for this Q&A appearance tonight. Perhaps Tony can make another captain's call?

Making a Captains call is hardly a sackable offense. Perhaps insulation installers getting electrocuted, homes burning down, locking thousands of kids in detention and thousands of asylum seekers drowning at sea, or billion dollar deficits and gross debt approaching a trillion dollars are sackable offences, giving a knighthood to a British monarch might be offensive but surely not as offensive as people dying, kids in detention, trillion dollar debt burden etc?

Lefties always sweating the small stuff. When he came to office, Tony Abbott doubled the deficit by adding $68 billion in new government spending. Compared to the Budget books at the last election, this financial year’s deficit is now expected to increase by 70 per cent and net debt is forecast to be $33 billion more than expected. But carry on ...

You have to understand that the ABC 'fact check' is in fact a "fact choke" whose authors twists, distorts and cherry picks data while omitting other data to present a biased, false outcome that is consistent with their personal ideologies. The authors arent even bond fide economists they are just journalists and don't have the expertise to be judging what is and isn't legit facts that are way above their pay grade.

At least the dropped the debt fallacy and yes they did those things wrong. It was encouraging Catherine King acknowledge that both parties were to blame in that Human Rights Commission report on Q&A last night. Regarding the home insulation tragedy You can keep highlighting captain calls as the big issue I have if you like. The issues I have with your party (let's face it if you are not a card carrying member of the Liberal party you should be): 1. People dying in detention or in their country of origin when they're incorrectly found to not be refugees 2. Can't manage a budget - cut good taxes and increase spending blowing out our deficit even more 3. Attack low income people to benefit big (often multinational) business 4. Look after their donors to the detriment of the people 5. NBN destruction for the benefit of Telstra (I know this is a big tick for you) 6. Incompetent leader that continuously embarrasses us on the big stage 7. All other policies (like data retention) have lacked evidence to support them and are ideologically driven All this makes them far and away the worst government this country has ever had. Don't even bother replying rusty because I know your response

Q) How many LNP politicians does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) No one knows. They all stand around blaming the blown bulb on the previous tenant, and the strata committee for not letting them change the sofa instead.

Alan Jones giving the Shadow Treasurer an absolute hiding on Jones and Richo. Bowen didn't know that the tax free threshold was $18,200 and when asked what the next tax rate he said twice it was 15%, when it's actually 19%. The guy who wants to run Australias finances. It will be interesting to see how the media reacts, if it was Hockey or Abbott who made the same gaffe there would be an absolute shitstorm.
