You're naive if you don't think this is the case.

Look no further than their almost unanimous support of TPP if you want proof of this.

I just find it amusing that he keeps posting about it like it's some revelation and it that it invalidates any discussion on here.

Of who?

I can't criticise teenagers for naive, it just part of growing up. Anyone that wants to discuss:
1. the merits of policy
2. the things politicians do
3. different ideological points of view

I'll engage. Petty name calling can be left in the school yard.

And the same here, an agreement that will contradict our own domestic laws, an agreement that isn't even passed through Senate.

many bills are passed in the USA without the congressmen or senators reading them
they dont even need to hide them, the majority are too lazy to actually read anyway

So the minimum wage gets raised above inflation and people are still bitching.

We have one of the highest minimum wages in the world. Typical entitlement country. They want more money yet bring limited skills to the table. It's like me going to my boss and saying I want to be paid as a RPEQ. I'm not one but I feel like you should pay me as if I am one.

Ridiculous.

I'm sure if you polled all minimum wage earners a vast majority would believe they deserved more money though. Of course they do, everyone over values themselves. People always want and think they deserve more. The reality is that labour is easily replaceable. Sure, construction labourers can earn 80 or 90k but seeing what they have to do, they earn every cent. Everyone is replaceable. There's a glut of engineers who can do my job at the moment.

It's a shame Notorganic isn't here to call out my white privilege. I however worked at Subway for 7 years during high school and university to pay for things. I almost miss his vivid interpretation and paraphrasing of how I live my life

The stark reality is that with unemployment at a concerning level and 10 unemployed for every available position, how is making businesses pay more for staff going to increase employment? It's not. Sure it's only $16/week. But that's $832/year + insurance and super contributions and any other associated costs. Could be enough to put off prospective employers.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.
