Bronwyn Bishop reportedly claimed $6,000 for 160km trip by private plane
Saturday 1 August 2015 10.39 AEST

Bronwyn Bishop reportedly spent more than $6,000 to hire a luxury corporate aircraft to transport her 160km from Sydney to Nowra – a journey of just over two hours by car.

The trip, to attend a Liberal party fundraiser in Berry, came two weeks after the Speaker controversially took a helicopter ride from Melbourne to Geelong, News Corp Australia reports.

Four and a half billion years of evolution and she's the result

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Yeah this bitch has to go.

Abbotts campaign was big on the budget and yet his staff are acting completely irresponsible.

Now it appears that there is a personal link between Bishop and the particular charter company involved for both flights, taking it to a whole new level of dodgy:

The Age wrote:
Bronwyn Bishop expenses scandal taken to next level, says Bill Shorten
August 1, 2015 - 12:34PM
Adam Gartrell
National Political Correspondent

New claims surrounding Bronwyn Bishop's expensive charter travel have taken the scandal to "the next level" and the Prime Minister can no longer ignore demands for accountability, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten says.

The federal Speaker spent more than $6000 of taxpayers' money to charter a luxury aircraft to travel to the NSW south coast just two weeks after her infamous helicopter ride in 2014, News Corp reported. It is understood she attended several events, including Liberal fundraisers, in the towns of Nowra and Berry on November 22.

But Mrs Bishop's office is refusing to reveal whether the Nowra charter was arranged by the same political lobbyist, Andrew Gibbs, who paid to organise the now notorious $5000 helicopter charter from Melbourne to Geelong on November 5.

Fairfax Media revealed last month that Mr Gibbs is best friends with Mrs Bishop's chief of staff, Damien Jones.

Mr Shorten says these suggestions are "very serious".

"These reports take the seriousness of Bronwyn Bishop's misconduct to the next level," he said on Saturday. "If Mrs Bishop's personal relationships influenced her decision to repeatedly hire a particular company, then that is incredibly serious."

Unfortunately those other horrible things fall into line with what alot of voters want. Most buy into Abbotts fear mongering about terrorism and asylum seekers ect....

This however, this gets the peoples attention because nothing angers the masses more than feeling like they have somehow been robbed.

Some solace for the Libs with choppergate in that they get to down their ratio of women in senior positions now that the only female contender for the job to replace Bishop has ruled herself out.

Your absence has been conspicuous and your return when a Labor politician is getting some criticism is predictable

I've been on business trips where my family have come along with me and we've stayed on later for a holiday. I've had to pay for my family's flights however if I worked in a job that required me to be away from home for the majority of the year, having the ability to have my family come along with me once or twice a year is probably something that would make it more palatable. Whether they all needed to fly business class or not is another matter I guess.

Don't think it's even in the same league comparable to Bronnie's rorts but batty knows that of course ;)

Oh and it looks like Pyney's at it again too...

i haven't been away....just avoiding the biased shitstorm in here of leftie circle jerkers with rose coloured glasses such as yourself.......the point i was making is they are all up to no good and the rorts need to stop from ALL sides of politics.....while large sections of small and medium business struggle and are arse raped by the ATO Kunts like ALL of these walk away with pensions and entitlements that 99.9% of aussies only dream on.....

;) Carry on with your conclusions and don't forget to strap your parachute back on.......
