After that spread the derby games out, so it gives the league more marquee games to spread out throughout the season.
if there is a derby round, it can't be on the same round as the inaugural sydney derby. maybe somewhere like round 15 during school holidays thurdsday: Newcastle vs CCM 7pm friday: West Sydney vs Sydney FC 7:30pm saturday: Wellington vs Perth (8pm local, 5pm eastern), Melbourne heart vs Melbourne Victory 7pm sunday : Adelaide vs Brisbane 3pm. Excuse me, but wouldn't it make more sense to play: 1. Melb Heart Vs Victory - Friday night - In the city - everyone can go. Less travel time than Newcastle & Central Coast! 2. Wellington Vs Brisbane - Saturday 7:00pm (local) 3. West Sydney Vs Sydney FC - Saturday 7:30pm (local) - Prime time & pre-grame build-up show!! 4. Newcastle Vs CCM - Sunday 5:30pm (local) - Plenty of time to travel from Gosford to Newcastle on a Sunny Sunday arvo 5. Perth Glory Vs Adelaide - Sunday 5pm (local)- Adelaide is the closest city to Perth geographically so they should play eachother on Derby week ;)

It'd be a waste to have the first West Sydney vs Sydney Derby in a rivalry round, have the rivalry round the week before so it is a teaser for the Sydney Derby.
Rivalry rd 3 1. Melb Heart Vs Victory 2. Brisbane Vs Sydney FC 3. Wellington Vs West Sydney 4. Newcastle Vs CCM 5. Perth Glory Vs Adelaide
Rd 4 West Sydney Vs Sydney FC

I would have thought that in the first year a slow build up to a SFC vs WSFC match would be best, instead of a sudden rush to cash in first up.
A big loss to either side may have negative outcomes for support, which would not be helpful at all.
A gradual build up, building the hype would make it a huge event.

It also gives us supporters time to find our feet in the terrace and build on things before the derby

Just because Adelaide is closest to Perth doesn't make us rivals for derby week etc.
Tbh "Derby week" will never be derby week for AU fans. FFA would never fixture us with MV on a featured round like that because sfc v mv, and melb derby attract more interest. MV games are the first 3 games every AU fan looks for on the fixture.

a forced rivalry is not a rivalry. MV vs AU was a rivalry before even our first match, ask those adelaide fans that made that first unfriendly trek to OP in 05 ;)

i think there should be no second thoughts about this. West Sydney Wanderers, playing out of Parramatta stadium, wearing a black and red kit.
Rd 1: WS vs NJ Rd 2: anyone away Rd 3: WS vs MV Rd 4: WS vs BR Rd 5: Anyone away Rd 6: WS vs SFC
Done. Can anybody disagree with any of that!

Can anybody disagree with any of that! i don't disagree with that however i like simply Sydney Wanderers. But if the people of west sydney want west or western in the name then so be it and yes based on what people from the area on here, parramatta stadium seems the logical choice.

Watched United v Olympic yesterday
Brett Studman, David Gullo, Kutaiba Elrich from Olympic are class but especially Steve Hayes and Luka Glovas from United, they have so much talent and I hope our coach looks at these players and the state league in general.
Others would be Ante Tomic, Ivo Bosnar and Ben Vidiac

Done. Can anybody disagree with any of that! well the first 3 games will have a good attendance no matter what, so maybe some of the teams that will have large travelling numbers should be saved for latter on? i think starting against the jets is good but you will still have a lot of casuals in the first 3 games so the 'big' games against br and mv can be saved for later in the year and may bring the casuals back. you get me?
