Have been to a few sydney fc vs rams or sydney fc pre season games at campbelltown, all in better weather. and none of them had anything on tonight. I went to the Hakoah V Rams match out there at Leumeah & quite frankly about a dozen of "The Cove" showed up along with about a thousand disinterested people to watch them stink it up on the pitch. Well done to the RBB, obviously a superior team, superior firm & superior general bunch of supporters.

Apparently Matthew Spiranovic has been training with the wanderers.

You call 3 CB's, one of which is also cover for midfield 'depth'? CB is where we are thinnest at the moment, and if we make another signing pretty sure it'll be at CB.

Spiranovic's immaculate distribution would be so wasted in this team. Don't do it Spira!

When you have "the best" CB pairing in the league, with La Rocca as cover (as well as Polenz, D'Apuzzo & Heffernan who could do a job there) you don't need to sign another top quality CB. Hopefully you'd have a decent CB in the youth team for more depth. After all: Eastern Glory wrote:Spira isn't going to sit behind anyone... Edited by A16Man: 14/8/2013 01:41:02 PM

Wanderers 3-1 victors over Canberra Olympic FC in Canberra.
Goals to Haliti, Juric, and Bridge. Mark Shields scored for Canberra. Wanderers started with mostly second-string side. Was 1-1 and fairly even until after half-time when Hersi, Ono, Polenz, Juric and Bridge (I think) brought on and then they started to run away with it.
Not a lot you can take from such games, but nice to see Juric scoring. Hope it continues.

Will be interesting to see how WSW go this year, as the side has remained relatively stable and likely won't be running off the same adrenaline as they had last season.
Was a huge season though and look forward to another big year in the HAL.

I think we have improved our team this year, with Juric undoubtedly better infront of goal than Kresinger, also picked up Santalab which if Hersi or Bridge gets injured then can play on the wing so I'm looking forward to the season when it finally comes hahahaha........longest off season ever!!!!!

WSW will either continue where they left off, or fail miserably.
But then again, that's the case with every HAL side every year

What've they done now...
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Fuck off retard. Where we initially was located was dangerous. There were people in the garden getting squashed against the fence. People were getting barged. It was genuinely unsafe. We then tried to move peacefully. What would you want us to do. Just stay there until people get injured. Maybe the FFA or whoever decided the rbb could fit there should open their fuckinh eyes.

Yeah okay mate. Having us herded in like animals in an area that clearly couldn't accomodate us was perfectly fine? We even had certain figures from the club admit they fucked up by not having us behind the goals that could accomodate all 1200 people in the RBB that came to the match.

If the RBB didn't move to the hill we would be sitting here posting about how a stand collapse occured at a fucking pre season match.
If you weren't there you should shut the fuck up, there was no hooliganism in this, just people looking after crowd safety when police and stadium security did s.f.a.
FYI the entire RBB was on a concrete ledge with a 2 metre drop and the only thing holding the crowd back was a plastic barrier held together with cable ties.

For anyone wondering, this is what was decided would be safe enough to contain and protect 1000 people from a 2m drop.

For Anyone wondering, they rammed a fence and acted like spoiled children. I was ashamed to be a football fan at the game tonight.

Edited by sydneycroatia58: 22/8/2013 12:01:30 AM You know I love you man, but the boys were disgusting tonight. The RBB could manage what they were dealt, but instead the decide that charging a face and taunting police with the paranoia song (I don't care what anyone says, if you chant that at police, you're a grot). Was absolutely disgusting to watch. Would prefer they all left if they were so unsafe.
