United fans on another forum are actually considering that news. Rooney to Barca wouldn't happen in a thousand years.

Rooney doesn't fit Barca's style at all. Why would they sign him when they just signed Neymar anyway?

Sunderland to sign Argentine right back Gino Peruzzi (former target of Man City) and French left back Benjamin Mendy (an Arsenal target). Appears we've agreed to pay a fair bit more than Arsenal and Citeh were prepared to pay for two young players (Peruzzi is 21, Mendy is only 18).
Also continuing chase for Dutch U21 keeper, with Swedish U21 the back up plan.

I dunno how Peruzzi will go in England, but Mendy has a lot of hype about him.

Absolute tonne of money for two unproven kids Did some reading and there is some truth to this. Apparently spurs and city are 2 of a handful of clubs who have tracked the two kids. Zagreb want 20mil euro for the two, a club has said they're interested but are still negotiating.

20m for those two will look like the most ridiculous bargain in 5-10 years time.

In saying that, 17mil on these two + 17mil on Paulinho doesn't leave much in the kitty for a new striker - and apparently a new LB if Assou-Ekotto is still on the way out. Praying for some driftwood sales [-o< I.e. Adebayor.

Standard spurs spending where they've got some depth and not addressing the longstanding issues at the club.

Danny Rose is who I would like to see play LB this year, there is also talk of Bernard moving to the lane for a similar fee, wouldnt mind that at all. But that would mean around 50 million pounds, how much did we have to spend again? In other news, Paulinho is finally official.

Re: Danny Rose, I'd like to see him used in rotation this year, similar to how Bertrand is used at Chelsea - however I don't think Rose would like that too much. I thin he's 1 season off. We need a striker, praying that there is at least 10mil in the budget for someone.

According to sky sports, Chelsea have made big money offers for Cavani and El Shawaary. SMH if true. How can they afford to spend this much money and still be in europe next season?

Stoke have signed Marc Muniesa from Barcelona....
Yes, Stoke have signed a Barcelona player. I hope Muniesa can do it on a cold, wet Tuesday night.

How much did we pay for him? Hopefully we've got a buy back clause in there somewhere.

If you went by that Being:Liverpool, you would think he was Rodgers' highest hope.

I really think he showed great improvement when he came back from Blackpool. Thought he was one who could push for a first team spot this year.

The Guardian is reporting QPR are ready to meet Spurs 2 million pound valuation of Scott Parker. surely he's worth a bit more than that?

Sky is reporting that Besiktas are negotiating an offer for Adebayor. Please, for the love of god, strike a deal and agree personal terms.

Unfortunately he's getting on a bit and starting to break down. he is the sort of guy you want on your team - but his injuries have taken him down the pecking order and I feel as though we're paying him too much to be on the fringe.

Oh of course. Spurs have found a way to get by without him. He's well down the pecking order now and with his injuries they're genuinely better off without him. And they're not going to get a much better offer than 2m. If anything QPR are probably overpaying for him.
