Theres much more chance Thiago Silva would move to Barca than there would be of Messi moving to PSG I'd be calling their bluff too. Worst case scenario PSG have just funded your transfers for the next three seasons. To be fair though, Messi merchandise sales probably do that anyway... But even if they did meet the buyout clause, Messi would still actually have to agree to move. And I don't see him doing that, no matter how much they offered him.

Had me scratching my head and checking his wiki for a minute there as to how he could possibly just "resign" from Villa mid contract.

I find the behaviour of Madrid and Barca disgusting. Every summer they are linked to big players and then their presidents/high level officials constantly come out and publicly tap up the players. Should be reported.

But UEFA aren't going to do anything and risk upsetting their two biggest money earners. Plus they're all buddied up with Platini anyway.

If this story about Sp*rs rejecting a supposed 100m euro bid from Madrid for Bale is true I will piss myself  Would be an early contender for the dumbest decision made by anyone in football this season

Yeah and he's apparently not going to be playing in their friendly against Monaco, looks like he might actually be off. In all seriousness, Arsenal tinted glasses off, if this 100m euro bid story is serious Tottenham would have to be fucking mental not to take it.

Apparently he's not playing because of a 'buttock' injury. I wonder if that's from Levy kicking his arse...?

afromanGT wrote:Apparently he's not playing because of a 'buttock' injury. This. He's not training because he has picked up a knock. If he was moving he'd be back in London, would he not? "He is very near to recovery and I think we will only see him back in training in London," said Villas-Boas. "He has made a slight strain, he has pulled his muscle on his right side. Seven to 10 days is a normal period for this kind of injury and he is within that timeframe. He's very near to coming back." Edited by vaughn2111: 28/7/2013 06:01:27 PM

According to Dutch media, Ji-Sung Park will be loan to PSV Eindhoven for the 2013-2014 season.

I'd take it every day of the week, Ronaldo was 80m wasn't he? Another rumour is Bale for 55m + Di Maria + Coentrao which I would also take, If not prefer I mean imagine: Lloris Walker-Dawson-Vertonghen-Coentrao Paulinho-Sandro Dembele Lennon/Chadli-Soldado-Di Maria Plus we could buy a back up RB with that, I honestly think that team along with the depth we have could challenge for the title eventually (braces for hate).

Don't know where this all came from. All I saw was 60mil pound, cash only. The way I see it, Bale is irreplaceable ATM. If we sold him, we'd be paying the buyout on soldado or benteke, plus get extorted on whichever winger we try to buy next. Plus we'd be back to having only 2 senior wingers in the squad.

Sure there's no replacing Bale after the season he's had, but he won't be at Spurs forever and they should strike while the iron is hot. That team would also be a lot less dependant on one player. You've also got to remember there's players like Holtby, Defoe, Sigurdsson & Caulker on the bench.

from sky wrote:Gareth Bale has for the first time this summer been backed into odds-on to leave Tottenham Hotspur amid talk of a world-record bid from Real Madrid.
Sky Bet have been forced to cut the odds on the Welsh star moving to Real Madrid from 5/2 to 1/2 due to a run of significant bets.
Spanish reports suggest the Spanish giants are ready to break the £80million world-record transfer fee set by their acquisition of Cristiano Ronaldo by offering £86m for Bale. I know it's only sky bet odds, but it might indicate something. Wouldn't say he's definitely gone, but I'm starting to get a little nervous.

Some traction with potential Soldado transfer, Valencia are starting to be linked with Javier Hernandez and Olivier Giroud as replacement strikers.

They've got more chance with Hernandez than Giroud, but that's not really saying much when then the chances of them getting Giroud are less than zero.

Spurs should take the 85m. They'd be crazy not to.
Any deal with players exchanged is going to grossly overvalue Fabio Coentrao.

I wouldn't think so, he's a quality player who doesn't seem to mind playing an impact/rotation role for us which is rare, plus who knows what will end up happening with Rooney, I'd be inclined to think he might see a fair bit more game time this season.
