Just because you make uninformed judgements of players based off wikipedia stats doesn't mean we all do. I've watched 2/3 of Madrids La Liga games so far this season. He was one of their better players before he got subbed off in the 70th minute- not great, but not 'mediocre'. Which game was that in? The one where he got subbed off in the 68th minute? Or the one he got subbed off in the 64th minute? The answer to that's not on wikipedia by the way. And then of course there's the fact that he was dropped for the Athletic match. As stated: He wasn't being used properly by Antelotti, he doesn't fit Ancelotti's system and his effectiveness and performances suffer as a result. Chucking a hissy fit at being subbed didn't help his cause, not to mention the arrival of Bale decreases his value. If you'd signed him at the start of the window for 45m, that would have been a fair price for events at the time. But you didn't and instead you got ripped off.

Lukaku proved his worth last season, Barry is a solid player who didn't have the 'fame' of other city players and McCarthy is a solid young talent. Ah - now that explains that lame lame pen effort in the super cup - wanted to make sure the chosen one didn't start on a good note

Yeah, then you guys can play Reus out of position and then let him waste away on the bench instead  Apparently he has a 35m release clause. Edited by afromanGT: 13/11/2013 12:38:17 AM

Edited by afromanGT: 13/11/2013 12:38:17 AM Kagawa is never going to displace Rooney as our number 10 and just isn't strong enough to perform out of position as a left winger on a consistent basis, whereas Reus could really make that spot his own. United have an abundance of traditional wingers but we lack that attacking winger/inside forward option that Reus offers, Nani is too patchy to consistently threaten, and although Januzaj has the ability (imo our strongest winger) I don't want us to throw him in the deep end and rely on him so much while he's still developing. The release clause is handy but he's a childhood Dortmund fan, it might have to take a big offer.

^ Reus is a lot more natural on the wing compared to Shinji, if I remember correctly he spent a lot of time on the wing when he was at Gladbach
don't care about the price as long as we get him tbh, it's not my money lol
