Was about to give up in wrestling after not giving a crap about Wrestlemania.
But then I saw Enzo and Cass' debut, and then I saw the Bullet Club, and then they're giving Zayn v Styles time on RAW...

Rollins coming back can't come sooner. If they continue to keep Roman as that tweener, I have no problem with him being champ. He draws huge heat. So putting AJ Styles against him will help get AJ over more as a face. What was killing things was having Roman as a whitemeat babyface fighting heels. He would generate boos, and his opponents cheers, messing up the reactions they want. Now they have finally let him fight babyfaces, and are acknowledging the boos, they can make proper use of the heat he attracts. My hope is that they let him have a fully fledged heel run, but if they just keep him as that slightly cocky role (I'm THE man) that will work too. The pairing of him and Bray was great too. They could have a great feud with Roman as the arrogant champ, and Bray as a babyface. The last time they feuded the dynamics didn't work because Roman was the babyface getting booed, and Bray was the heel getting cheered.

We just recently passed the 15 year anniversary of Vince McMahon buying WCW.
I happened to be watching some old episodes of Raw on the WWE Network - around mid-late 2002, around the time Bischoff was made General Manager of Raw.
It was interesting how prominent so much ex-WCW talent was on the programming from 2002-2003.
If only Vince was willing to buy out the contracts of the WCW big names when the invasion angle started, the angle could have been amazing. As it was, WCW was never able to be credible with Booker T as the only main event guy coming in.
The other thing that was noticeable was how much the show flew by being only 1 hr 30 min, and later on 2 hours.
Those 3 hour episodes of Raw just make things drag so much!

Correct. But they are pretty locked in to 3 hours because of the extra $ value they get through advertising and their TV contract obligations. I think that is what is at the heart of their problem. They have been able to put themselves in a position where the creative quality of their product has minimal impact on their revenue streams. Have a look at Wrestlemania this year - I think most people agree that it was pretty weak compared to previous Wrestlemania events. Yet they have generated their highest ever live event revenue, and WWE Network subscriptions are now up to 1.6 million. They can afford to compromise the quality of the product due to the lack of competition, and due to them creating revenue streams that are quarantined from the ups and downs of weekly ratings. And it looks like TNA is on the verge of bankruptcy too. So there may be a whole bunch of talent on the market for WWE. Surely a brand split has to be on the cards... Ring of Honor is about to increase the number of PPVs they are running - seems like they are no. 2 now. Shows how far ahead of the rest the WWE is in terms of scale. Having said all that - Raw was actually really good the last 2 weeks. But so hard to consistently maintain interest in a 3 hour show. Edited by AzzaMarch: 18/4/2016 11:32:10 AM

Those 3 hour episodes of Raw just make things drag so much! Tbh though Booker was probably the best WCW wrestler is terms of fitness. Remember when Steiner came to WWE? He was so stuffed and slow. Nash was past it and did his knee and Scott Hall was still fucked. As for Goldberg I thought they got the most out of a pretty one-dimensional character.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Nash was past it and did his knee and Scott Hall was still fucked. As for Goldberg I thought they got the most out of a pretty one-dimensional character. There is truth to most of that. But I always thought they could have made the storyline interesting by having the ex-WCW guys like Jericho, Guerrero etc be accused by the WWE guys of being sympathetic to WCW etc, string that out, then finally those guys "sign" with WCW. That would have filled the squad out a bit. With Goldberg, I think they tried to play him for laughs a bit, with the Goldust thing he did??? I dunno, I think they could have done better with him. With the older crew (Hogan, Flair, Outsiders), they didn't necessarily need to wrestle a lot. But having them there with the invasion would have given the whole thing more credibility. And imagine if it would have been led by Bischoff from the start. The heat would have been unbelievable! Edited by AzzaMarch: 20/4/2016 04:32:44 PM

I find it rich that WWE try to save face by rejecting those they deem of unworthy character into the HoF. What a joke.

Chyna might get in, Benoit obviously won't. It's obviously an oversimplification but it makes 0 business sense to let in a pornstar or murderer into the HoF. And sadly even if Chyna does get in posthumously it will be because it makes sense from a business perspective
