Also just on Stannis, what do people think about the fact we didn't actually get to see Stannis die? Do we think he's dead?

I'm not sure why he wouldn't be but the fact it wasn't shown just doesn't make sense at all so that makes me think he's still alive.

I'm assuming he's dead, but wouldn't be surprised at all if he isn't.

As for Jon Snow, I feel like everyone will be careful in choosing their words insisting that the character is dead which he technically could be but still come back.

There was a theory that in the books Robb legitimised Jon as a Stark, so if revived he could come back as Jon Stark and take Robb's place as the King in the North, since as you mentioned he'd be released from his path to the Night's Watch.

Aww well, Stannis is still the Mannis. I felt sorry for him. Half his army army deserted, his wife committed suicide, he burned his daughter for ultimately no reason, he sent his best friend away, the woman he trusted betrayed him and his army was destroyed.

That shot of him drawing his sword and marching towards his death was badass, truly the GOAT king.

Guess it's all up to Jon now.

Gotta say though Stannis' "death" was strange as hell.

Even with Ned's beheading we could see him die on screen. If you slow it down you can see how the blade cut his head clean off just before it shows the pigeons flying away. Likewise, we saw Oberyn's death even though it was much more graphic. The show has never shied away from showing death/heads rolling off bodies, so why now?

Brianne swung her sword into the tree and not his head. Probably her honour (and Stannis saying "do your duty") made her realise that killing an wounded unarmed man is not the way to exact revenge.

Of all the other people that died etc in that ep they showed it in full, wouldn't be surprised if they keep Stannis around for some end of season swerve next season.

As for Snow, he is most certainly going to live lol, Lady in Red had to choose between him and Stannis and JS is far more important in the fight against the Others.

Dunno but a couple of my mates were backpacking when thay scene got shot and picked up work as extras. Couldnt see them in the ep but gonna have to go back and check again. Their description for what happened was absolutely spot on.

Basically how I feel. For me this theory was particularly interesting but now its irrelevant.

Read an interview where Kit Harrington is pretty clear that he's not returning to the show And detailed how emotional he was knowing he wasn't coming back to the show. Just seems so unessecary to show the red woman turning up though if he doesn't. Every storyline left on a cliffhanger. Very interested to see how they start next season and if it's a slow reveal or an epic first ep.

Fuck the lot of them now though. I'm cheering Tyrion or the white walkers from now.

can see next season being used to catch up on the s.s abandoned storylines, and very little on what happened this season
Will probably see a lot of bran next season, rickon, the greyjoys and hopefully gendry/brotherhood of banners will feature

I think it will be Theons redemption. Her story will open with her lying on top of Theons broken body as he shielded her from the full impact of the fall.

Was thinking they might go that way. 100% believe Kit when he says he's been told he won't be returning to the show. Especially now he's taking on other projects.
