#CleganeBowl2016 Jamie even eluded to this in today's episode, about wanting to see the trial by combat with Gregor. As soon as the words trial by combat were mentioned

would it be naive of me to think that maybe the Umbers are up to something with the Manderlys? or is this going to be a huge veer off from the books that those two become very loyal to the boltons rather than keeping with the starks?
(ignoring the fact they did kill shaggydog, rip)

Sword fight was BRILLIANT. The episode was very, very good. Jon Snow on the loose and ready to fight is going to make things interesting. Just at the same time Arya is all ready to go as well.

Really top casting for young Ned Stark, it was like they went back in time and cast a younger Sean Bean, not only physically, but the accent and mannerisms were right on the money. Well played.

I can't figure out where Jon is heading. What direction is he even going? I can't even predict what his plans are now. Back to Winterfell??
I'm getting well sick of Khaleesi travelling in directions that aren't directly due West.

Jon might be the one talking to the hill tribes etc and trying to rally an army together instead of Stannis in the books. His problem is no legitimacy though (unless he was legitimised somehow), so he question is, in whose name will be be rallying under?

I'd imagine Jon rocking up with the giant will be pretty convincing for everyone, if that's the case.

Hoping against hope that that wasn't Shaggydogs head and it's a ploy by the Umbers to gain Ramsey's trust.

Really happy with Arya's story. It has been one of the most interesting stories over the whole series. Good to see she has become nameless. Like to see her head out into the world to do the many faced gods work.
No Sansa this ep so I imagine Jon will be brooding in castle black for half an ep until Sansa arrives on the door.

No Sansa this ep so I imagine Jon will be brooding in castle black for half an ep until Sansa arrives on the door. Which makes sense. One thing I've noticed so far is that they're very much aligning all of this very spread out characters/stories/plots and starting to group them together. Be it for management on a TV screen or just the overall story as a whole. That and as they kill off characters (Sir Allister/Olly) they bring old characters back from the fold (Rickon Stark). Weaved together with some really good back story with Bran (which I'm sure will play a huge part in setting up future seasons and where/why/how/what this is all happening for - "What must I learn?" - "Everything"). Can only assume that Little Finger might sit this season out or possibly he will be brought back in post penultimate Ep 8 when Winterfell probably falls and Ramsay is killed off thanks to a Jon Snow/Sansa resurgence with Fingers sly help on the side. One thing that is kinda boring me though is still the Lannister/Red Keep area of the story. First time we've seen the Hand/Council in so many eps yet fuck all is happening (even with the Sparrows looking like they're attempting some kind of quasi-religious usurping). Chop to it kunts, go start some shit with Dorne or something. -PB Edited by paulbagzFC: 10/5/2016 02:29:57 PM

From the "next week on Game of Thrones" clip, it felt like Little Finger will be there next ep to me.

Rickon does not look that upset about shaggydog, slight scrunched up face but no emotion from him which could mean it is not shaggydog. But like you said probably just grasping big time here

Season six has all been a little bit predictable. Ffs what did Roose Bolton expect to happen once he named Ramsey his heir?

I don't know if Tyrion is a Targ... GRRM had a book which said there were various way to tame dragons and it didn't mean you needed to be a Valyrian. "Since I can't prove you aren't mine" Tywin knew he was being cuckolded.

I literally read that line last night (if he only said it when Tyrion asked him for Casterly Rock, post-Blackwater Bay fight) - just started the third book.
