Get on it. I think he'd be a great signing.

No. He has led the NRL in the wrong direction. Always behind the 8 ball and is too gutless to make any decisions.

Do you see any other outstanding candidates lining up at the door? No.

The only sin Gallop committed was his handling of the Stewart situation (which I personally was very critical of). If you look at how much the NRL has improved on a business side from since he began, to the beginning of the ALRC, then you're kidding yourself if you don't think he was successful.

Seems like a good administrator, but doesn't suit our game. I'd rather Schwab.

He did mess up with NRL expansion, some of the bids have been up for years and they still dont know whose getting picked.

How about his failed tv negations, the amount of time it took to implement the commission, not realizing GC were 50 million in debt, his inability to make the tough decisions in regard to having to many Sydney based clubs. Has delayed expansion in WA and Qld. Not being able to expand the game in Victoria. Just off the top of my head.

A-League doesn't have rapists?
Edit: Probably best we don't comment about that incident, not sure of the current legal status of that matter

I'd skip both the corporate and unionist lawyer candidates mentioned ...low profile head of a-league would be preferable, admin wise it's in a decentralising phase. Someone like gallop would surely just complicate the running of the game. Wouldn't mind seeing gallop or schwab running a club though

From 'The Beautiful Game' on Facebook:
Andrew Jarman on Triple M in Adelaide has reported that North Melbourne Football Club will offer Ben Buckley their vacant CEO position which means that Buckley will have to leave the FFA. Their are also rumors that Buckley's position could be filled by ex NRL CEO David Gallop.

Why on Earth anyone would have Andrew Jarman talking football is beyond me :-k Even for an AFL uber-bogan he has zero-compatibility with football. As a Storm fan I have a healthy dislike for Gallop, but let's face it - he couldn't possibly be any worse than Sir Arthur George or Ian Knop;) Edited by BA81: 5/6/2012 06:19:10 PM

Yes. Gallop is a great CEO. For whoever said the handling of the Stewart saga was poor, you should have seem him that night. Its lucky for him the extent of that night has been covered up in pro NRL reporting & a campaign against Gallop by Manly . Should have been another NRL scandal.
