Ive known about him for a while. He is a Kevin Durant / Kevin Garnett clone. I reckon the Boomers might be due for a medal in Rio. You got him, Dante Exum, Ben Simmons, Patty Mills,Bogut,Dellavadova,Baynes,Bairstow,Motum, plus the Euro guys in Ingles,Jawai, David Andersen. They gotta pretty good medal chance. I haven't been this excited about the boomers chances since the 1996 atlanta olympics :d lol

US vs Boomers. - Shane Heal / Charles Barkley confrontation. - Shane Heal draining 3s from beyond the 3 point line. - Shaq just totally owning Ray Borner / Mark Bradtke and any other Australia centre / forward. - Slammin Sam McKinnon. I reckon this time we've got the players to really take on the US. In fact I reckon we will wipe the floor of the other teams.

I remember wagging school for that game, basketball was so huge back then. So many years we've had the potential to medal only to come away disappointed. But I reckon you're right, if we have everyone fit and available for Rio we are a big medal chance.

Big win against the Lithuanians, should be able to beat Mexico and Angola from here People are saying it was a "tactical loss" by Lithuania to be bracketed away from the U.S

If you look at the stat sheet, Montenjenaus had barely done anything...he could have piled up the stat sheet if he wanted to.

Even the team stats don't look right, Lithuania shot a lot better than us even with all those turnovers

Loss to finish the group stage vs Angola Just roff One of the Angolans absolutely lit it up though, think he finished with just under 40 pts

Something like the old cricket world cup "super 8" stage would solve it for sure. They already play a stupid number of games back to back so I'm sure they could work out a way. Fully expecting Lithuania to tank their last game.

Apparently Joey Ingles is heading to the NBA.
Boomers going to have a scary team come Rio.
I dare say they are gonna push Spain to be the no.2 team in the World.

It's pretty much like this to ensure the top 2 teams can't meet before the final. Not sure why that's such a big deal.

It was an obvious tanking by the the aussies. Coach Lemanis should get the boot, I've been following basketball for 25 years and it was the biggest disgrace I have seen in Australian basketball. I don't care if it was about avoiding second place, we should be playing to win all the time.
Im probably overreacting but im pretty passionate about the Boomers.

He's going to have to be more of an assists guy than an isolation player. He can play isolation against dudes that are athletically inferior than him (like he has been in Australia) but in the NBA he will be up against a brick wall night in night out. And also he will have a scouting report on him so teams will really do their homework on him and nail him on his weaknesses. Edited by SocaWho: 6/9/2014 12:08:11 PM
