mk- it costs 12k to fly your team anywhere outside of oceania, but you almost always make that back from the match income, think my last home match with a foreign team we each got 34k.

Not as good as yours though, but my forwards were the reason I won today.

What formations do you guys play? You say midfield is king so would a 5 man midfield be the way to go? I wanna know what formation i should sign players for.

Yeah 5 man midfield is the way to go, i always play 3-5-2, leaves me a bit open to counter-attacks, but thats why the strength of midfield is so good, they can only counter when they have the ball :)

Next thing i upgrade will be my keeper or my forwards, then wingers and im sweet.

I play 3-5-2 too.

Screwed for cup match next week. He maxes at like 240, so if i got EXTREMELY lucky i could do it, but my TS has taken a huge hit with two consecutive MOTSes. haha

Just gonna pic. I am going to need to upgrade my stadium AGAIN too. Only had 26 empty seats today and it was cloudy.

Hhow many supporters do you guys have atm? I'm only upto 2012, but i sold out my 40k stadium on debut and just got 36k for a cup match.

Stadium is only 30k.
Decided im going to buy a brill pm only, and then replace my current formid starter with a magnif later.
Brill pm now then formid back, then outstanding/brilliant forward then formid/outstanding winger then magnif pm.
Got it all worked out. All the guys on my team are nice and young now too which helps

Yeah young players are the key to being successful and continually improving your team, they get trained so much faster and you don't have to replace them as often so its worth paying extra, i was actually thinking about pumping 6 or so mill into a excellent coach recently, but i decided id leave it till i got to a point where i was comfortably beating teams in series IV.

Whatd you say your max ever hatstats was??

Actually i just got my best hatstat- 194 in todays cup match, so im still 3 off you, haha

Edit- I have a plugin in my firefox browser that shows hatstats when you look at a match report.Its either the alltid plugin or something called foxtrick, cant remember...

Haha, yep small world!! Div III is tough, you really have to win all your home matches, and then just pray you win or draw enough away to take top place, if you want to promote. But it's no different to some of the IVs...


My tips for NooBs - from making many a mistake myself...

Start-up
1. Read the manual - read it carefully and know how the game works. Trust me, it's a pain to dedicate the hour or so of you life to reading it, but if you want to play well you will need to.
2. Employ a solid coach with the lowest amount of leadership (weak I think). Should cost appx 600k from memory.
3. With your small amount of funds, buy 10, eighteen year old playmaker trainees. That means get 10 x 18 year olds with passable playmaking, and at least passable passing (if you can get solid passing that is even better). The higher the secondary (in this case passing), the more these guys will be worth when you sell in 3 or so seasons.
4. Set your training to playmaking, 95% intensity.
5. Set your formation to be 3-5-2. Reason being is that to train a player in a skill, they have to play that position for 90 mins in the week. Wingers get half training - so you can train 5 guys per match (2 of them will only be at 50% though). Don't try to play 4 or 5 Inner mids though, you'll lose all your training. Refer to hattrix (x-ray) files if you want to see all training types, etc.
6. Start saving for stadium upgrades.

I think that covers everything I'd do if starting again...

Easiest way is to download the Alltid plugin for firefox, and you can just see it in your match reports on hattrick.

But if you want just go to www.alltid.org type in your username and security code(not password)
