That's absolute bull shit, we have this conversation every year, I used to think he was a grade A cunt but he has improved exponentially. The guy is so passionate and hard working, it's hard not to enjoy watching him play, he used to be an arrogant twat for sure but he has matured so much and clearly has a future as a commentator with brilliant insights and great media skills. People can change just as people can be blinded by the past, how anyone can watch Hewitt play and see him speak now and think he's even remotely the same bloke he once was is just beyond me to be honest. Pity Tomic is still a cunt though

Time to throw fuel onto the fire. Another vote into the 'Hewitt is an obnoxious git' category for me, as are his fanclub that turns up to his matches who are both unimaginative and crass.

TBF, part of my hate for Hewitt may come down to the facvt that the first time I saw him, i was sitting next to his biggest fan  Every 2nd or 3rd point, this guy would call out "go Lleyton". No bullshit. Every 2nd or 3rd point.
I do admit he's a pretty good commentator, and I do appreciate the fact he never gives up, but he still can come across as a bit of a douche. He's definitely better than he was though.
Having said that, Hewitt is streets ahed of Tomic. If they had to play each other, i'd be cheering my hardest for Hewitt. Loathe Tomic and his arrogance. Hewitt may have been a massive twat earlier in his career, but he never threw in the towel like Tomic did vs Roddick last year.

Every year I like to point out that Hewitt is wanker. I only ever hear him make excuses for himself after a loss. Plus being from Adelaide it's well known here that he is douche.

It feels like he's been around for ages but he's going to have little immature incidents. Hewitt's just a cockhead. Always has been, always will be.

Solid wins from Hewitt and Tomic today, Hewitt has matured so much imo can't help but like him now. Maybe it's the arrogance of youth but Tomic comparitively came across as a cock head today, I love watching him play but not a fan of the man. Changed his shirt in the second set and upon hearing wolf whistles he struts around bare chested striking a few poses.
That American kid Harrison is exciting to watch, very quick and pulls off some flashy stuff, with a bit of consistency he could be big.

So with Hewitt injury free and playing 'good' tennis, what excuse are we going to get this year when he bombs out?

The man has changed FFS, wouldn't be surprised to see Tomic pull out something ridiculous again though.
On topic though, he played very well today against Berdych after a bit of a slow start, a Hewitt V Del Potro Kooyong final would be a good game imo.
Tomic in action tonight in what should be a tough game too, he's playing bloody well lately though.

As much as I hate the fact he has a big head I don't think he lets any of that outside shit get to him.

Hewitt has drawn Janko Tipsarevic (8), whilst Tomic has drawn Leonardo Mayer however a 3rd round battle with Federer awaits...

Tomic may be a cunt, but he's still a very good player. Who is playing the other semi?
