I think part of that is down to Tomic pulling out some great rallies and partly down to Federer being a little nonchalant. It does look a lot like he's toying with Tomic in some points. I mean, that rally in the break point where he approached the net, lifted the ball over and put it in the back left corner showed he can switch it on when he feels like it.

His technique and control is superb, but he doesn't have the versatility of Federer's backhand.
