Sensational game thus far, Wawrinka is playing out of his skin!

..And there he goes with the early break

Djokovic looks in much better condition than Wawrinka. If he keeps him off the backhand this could be wrapped up pretty quickly.

Imagine how much more epic this match would be with Le conte commentating instead of Bruce.

Yeah, but if Leconte was commentating, Djokovic wouldn't have just been able to save "four break points" #-o

Too early to say that they will get to Isner/Mahut?

Wawrinka will run out of puff before then. Djokovic is in much better physical condition.

After an immense final game and a 104 minute set, Djokovic gets there 12-10 in the fifth. Super-human effort.

You have to feel sorry for Wawrinka, far out that was a superb effort, he gave it everything and is clearly spent. Djokovic looks like he could keep going for hours by contrast, you'd have to feel this victory will do wonders for his state of mind.

That shot to win it...fuck.

Poor Stan :( Walks off in tears. It's like Monfils and Simon, you didn't want either of them to lose because they just fought so damn hard all the way.

He started so poorly. Amazing effort to pull himself back up, take control of the game and outlast Wawrinka.

Wawrinka's conditioning clearly let him down. Djokovic's constant stretching between points and sheer athleticism mean that if it's a close match he knows that he can just wear down his opponent in the fifth set.

Those two play each other so often they should know each others game intimately.

Why are so many of the top womens players eastern european? Like...what's going on there? Is there a government program? "Oh, I see you've given birth to a daughter, have a free tennis racquet"

Kuznetsova gets the vital break in the 3rd to lead 6-5 and have a chance to serve for the match.

And she serves it out to knock out the #10 seed Wozniacki 6-2 2-6 7-5 to move onto the quarter finals and play the winner of Azarenka and Vesnina

That first set made it look interesting but it was just a lopsided affair after that.

I didn't realise Gasquet was only 26. Feels like he's been around forever.

The grunting of Jovanovic (or whoever Stephens was playing) was the most ridiculous I've ever heard. At least with Sharapova, the Williams et al. they only have one syllable. That Serbian girl had two sylabbles every grunt.

I dunno if I could do that job. Would be nervous as fuck. I used to hate having to umpire in our local cricket games, let alone being a line judge at Aus Open. I assume he had to go through a ton of training?
