Watched good play. Looked solid for most of it though i would say better when drifting centrally . Wingers seemed to give him trouble in term of not blocking crosses but good enough.

Was an active night for quite a few Aussie's teams but not so much the Aussies abroad. Here's Friday's wrap http://osaussies.com/friday-wrap-17/

Wow, Villa really stink right now. I was really hoping it would somehow pan out well for Holman going to a club like that, but it looks like the concerns were for good reason.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Have to wonder if the move to Villa was a good move for Holman now. From starring in the Europa League/Champions League to now sitting on the bench in an EPL relegation contender cannot be good for him. Especially now with Rogic breathing down his neck for that AM role in the national team.

Relax. 24 caps of mostly starts just over half way through the season doesn't suggest the move has been a failure.
Obviously not doing as well at the moment but it can turn back around any moment.

Quote:Matthew Fletcher played until the 76thminute. Cambridge moved up to 9th place. Haven't been following Fletcher's progress. Is he on a permanent deal there or on loan?

playmaker11 wrote:I think Kruse has been quite good. He's no standout but he has done his job consistently in every match and been involved in a couple of goals. He must be the Australian field player playing the most number of minutes on a weekly basis in the highest standard league, along with Holman.

What Holman has suggested is that the Eredivisie is very good technically and tactically, but the EPL is another level in intensity. The EPL can also burn players out quickly.

At least Jason Davidson, who I still haven't seen play, played a full game in the Eredivisie.

Given the scoreline it sounds as if he had a tough game. PLayed centreback and the pairing looked a bit awkward. THe commentator mentioned how they have switched from a back 3 to a 4 recently so will be interesting to see how they go.

When was the last time James Troisi actually got off the bench? He was getting starts earlier in the year, right?

There was mentions from the Italians earlier in the year that he still had to change his game from that played in turkey to what is played in Italy.

Watched the Utrecht match last night, Sarota was playing well. The injury looked very awkward and painful. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. Zullo still considered second best in his position behind Bulthuis.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Anyone know where Tommy Oar is? Transfer speculation + hasn't featured in the last few games. Coincidence?
