Don't think this has been mentioned yet. Amini played half a game in a friendly for BvB II yesterday http://www.schwatzgelb.de/2013-06-22-spielbericht_amateure-niederlage_im_hitzetest_bei_rwo.htmlEdited by moofa: 3/8/2013 11:42:42 PM

Kruse on the bench along with Son, Öztunali (young talent) and Hilbert (ex national team) How friggin convenient! Hegeler starting along with Sam. Can't stand Leverkusen and their stockpiling of players.
Good news with Langerak in goal for BVB in Wilhelmshaven and he will play next week matchday 1 as Weidenfeller is suspended.
Ruka not in Mainz squad.

Langerak's touched the ball about 3 times this half. Gonna be a big game next week. Federici on the bench. Surely has to find a new club. Edited by playmaker11: 4/8/2013 12:22:58 AM

Langerak with a good 1 on 1 save. Still 0-0 after 68mins! Wilhelmshaven keeper doing brilliantly! Wouldn't mind this one going to penalties to see Langerak have some more action.
Kruse still on bench. Son has come on with Lev up 4-1

Very early days for Kruse - going to a new club takes time to adapt to new systems and players.

Not really news but Holland did a performance interview which was posted a few days a go about passing http://www.fk-austria.at/NEWS-LISTE.407+M5d1dc855141.0.html Quote:Golden Eye: James Holland verrät, wie man "Übersicht" trainiert
"If professionals reveal what makes them strong!"
Welcome to another edition of fk austria.at-performance series. This time reveals Midfield director James Holland, the tricks you can improve visibility and passing game.
In midfield, center-located, James Holland will rarely find in this season rooms where he has plenty of time to choose the best face-off station. Hardly on the ball, the Australian national team is made immediately by the first opponent.
"Awareness" as it is called Holland, is the most important feature in this case. States: "Even before you get to the ball, you should know exactly where and negative players are stationed and what's happening around you." Practicing this can be already in training. "Whether we make only simple pass exercises or play a match, I look before receiving the ball always know what is happening around me - so it becomes a habit."
And how to choose the right pass? "Often it's a matter of feeling," says Holland. Nevertheless, there are methods to meet more often the "right decision". "What matters most is the question of where one could create outnumbered situations. Of course, here also the tactical requirements of the coach to play a role, "But what is definitely beneficial". Observed teams during setup! So you get the fastest understanding of the game. "
Of course, game understanding and peace benefit ball on anything if you are not able to play the ball to where you want to have him happy. Therefore, "Jimbo" (Holland nickname on the team) advises: "Try to pass all the training accuracy and the correct focus consciously accompany it. And of course it helps a little to stay for a longer session outside to work on the pass technology. "So even those muscle groups are required, which are used in the passing game. another pretty bad result for them though being 3-1 up going into the last 10 minutes and drawing 3-3. Only mention of Holland in the match report from the official site said he played a perfect pass to Hosiner at the start of the second half but it was put over the bar

To put things in perspective if Kruse starts for leverkusen that would put him in the top five outfield players for Australia of all time so he is up against the odds. Fingers crossed though

Sounds like Salley's doing well... Playing every minute for the current 3rd best team in China. I'm surprised Holger hasn't tried him in defence.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Leckie starting in cup in Rathenow. Halloran on the bench for Ddorf against little Wiedenbruck.

Still cant quite believe Halloran got a deal at Dusseldorf, thought he was really poor at Brisbane last season. Interesting to see if he can develop as much as Kruse did.

Bozanic had a decent first half with neither side creating much. Made a fantastic run into the box but his cut-back didn't result in anything.

Luzern game, good reaction from Bozanic for the goal.

I have also looked up what the Swiss papers have been saying about him and as you can probably tell from the video's it is quite sunny and warm in Switzerland (mid 20's to low 30's) which Bozanic is dealing with a lot better than other players. Also from this video it seems he starts quite deep but when they get the ball forward he is sprinting through and will sit on the last line of defense instead of presenting just outside the box.

Beautiful assist for Bozanic's goal
Can someone tell me how many goals he scored in the HAL? Guy is on something like 5 goals now, must be loving the new role that he is currently playing. Hope that his goal scoring form doesn't fade too much as the season goes on.
Leckie is looking good. Hopefully he can stay relatively injury free. Some nice passing and movement for his first goal there. Found a little pocket of space and had a tidy finish with his left foot. Play for the first goal starts at the minute mark of the video.
Good little flick for his second goal there. Hope he has a big season.
