After watching a couple of Ryan's league games have to say I'm impressed. Seems like he's carried his A-league form to Belgium. Expecting people to disagree but if he can continue to impress and if Schwarzer continues to stay on the bench I'd rather see Ryan as our no.1 in Brazil.

Let's have some respect for a man who has never let his nation down. Until and unless he makes some shocking mistakes for the Socceroos, he should not be replaced.

Simply put - unless at least 3 other keepers have stellar seasons then Schwarzer will be in Brazil. Whether he starts depends on form. Ryan at this stage can't say he will be there. He is just one in the mix.

At the moment he may not be playing but he will be getting shots fired at him from the likes of Lampard, Hazard and Mata every day at training so I couldn't see his shot-stopping dropping that much. Also we will have 3 friendlies before the WC and if he also plays a few games at the end of the season when Chelsea's position might be decided he should get back up to match speed and match awareness pretty quickly having played so many games in his career. Hopefully Matt Ryan will make it so Holger has a tough decision to make though.

unfortunately no. Everything I have read has said Weindenfeller will play this week. I Was hoping Klopp would give Langerak a few more games to make sure he was match ready if anything happened later in the season and bring Weindenfeller back closer to the CL or any big Bundesliga games.

Finally something has popped up about Amini and it is not great. The part that talks about Amini is after the bold paragraph heading. I left the rest because I need it for my explanation because it is quite confusing

http://www.reviersport.de/242804---bvb-ii-konstanz-schlaegt-talent.html

Quote:
Treude Amini shows how to do it

He was already a goner, now Treude Tim is back in the middle. It benefits from its qualities and the lack of form of some competitors.

For the Dortmund midfielder completed in January of this year to be 23 Age and therefore did not really extend the Borussia Treudes expiring contract. "That's true," says U23 coach David Wagner. "He missed a couple of months in order not to fall through our age grid." Borussia shared Treude its decision so that it could adjust itself to it. Wagner explains: "We told him that we wanted to look around for qualitative alternatives that fit in age."

However, it was difficult in the relegation battle, the search for a new club to promote focused and so Treude stood by without a club since his contract expired. But the BVB sent his own greenhouse is not in the desert. Instead, player and club agreed that he could complete the preparation nor the black-yellow vest - probably not without self-interest. For the BVB was not immediately suitable young players, but anyway Wagner estimates the versatility Treudes that can hold any position in the midfield. "Tim is a very valuable player for us, not least because it offered very consistent performance. And, although at the U23 he had not a single healthy even in two years. "

"Now he just needs to bite"

A beautiful statement with regards to Mustafa Amini. The Australian, who was only 14 appearances in the last season, are the leaders after his first BVB-year mystery of how they can bring the talent of the 20-year-olds to develop, because, explosion 'is still waiting for it. Wagner takes a deep breath: "Mustafa measures currently SOLGA with David Nyarko and Evans - and make the moment very neat. Since he must now bite just to get back to the pots." Amini must not only fight to get past the impressive duo SOLGA-Nyarko. The obligation of a replacement for Marvin Bakalorz is only a matter of time. Dortmund have found their new man already, now it applies only to show patience in the negotiations.

Now I think I have deciphered it as I found it very confusing to begin with.

When it is talking about the players Amini 'measures with' it is the two original first choice players David Solga (30 year old brought in from a 2 bundesliga team) and Evans Nyarko (transferred from Dusseldorf II playing 33 games for them last year). I know it seems like three people but that are their first names and no-one else in the squad makes sense. Marvin Bakalorz played 31 games for BvB II last year and got transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt so that is a gap in the starting 11 which was up for grabs at the start of the season.

Now the reason I left in the start of the article because it seems Tim Treude was not given a new contract at the start of 2013 but was brought back in in March during Dortmunds relegation fight and has now claimed a spot in the starting 11.

So in Summary there are 3 possible midfield spots for Amini one of which he really should have claimed but Treude came back and as the title suggests he showed Amini how to do it. now the bold title suggests that BvB staff are and have been waiting for Amini to breakout in the reserves side but that has just not happened and now he must really push to get that spot back.

Also I doubt he played amazing this weekend with 3 of the four goals coming in the half he played. One of those was an own goal from Nyarko which could leave a gap for Amini but it will more likely depend on the rest of his performance.

I also have some good news but I don't want to bump this article off the last page

What's the good news

Sad about amini. Against Hollands youth side he did well pulling the strings but nearly every goal scored against us was due to a defensive blunder of his. He also needs to be a bit more lethal in his shooting

yeah sorry I knew the next post would start a new page and I did not want the article vanishing straight away and then my Laptop died anyway the good news is there is a good chance Davidson will play tonight. Now it states it at the start and then does not mention him for the rest of the article but still I would say it is a good sign

http://www.rtvoost.nl/sport/default.aspx?nid=169034&cat=313

Quote:
HERACLES: DORDA LOSES STARTING SPOT TO DAVIDSON

Christian Dorda seems to be passed over for the away match against SC Heerenveen Heracles Almelo next Sunday. Trainer Jan de Jonge gives the linksbackpositiie prefer Jason Davidson.
"In terms of work ethic is our players not to blame," explains Young out. "It is true that some are below their level. Then you as a trainer course free to decide what changes to make. In"

Rienstra to society
The team should also be adjusted forced, for midfielder Thomas Bruns (thigh injury) seems Sunday's game too early to come. Dario Vujicevic, his possible replacement in midfield, has once again problems with his hamstring. It now appears that defender Ben Rienstra by moves to the society and that is released back of a place for Jeroen Veldmate or Mike to Wierik. "But it's only Friday morning and there is also a workout, so there is nothing for sure."

Find points
Heracles lost the first two league games, but Young:. "It is important to stick to the things you train how we have put the foundation in recent weeks that I'm really persevere and I'm sure we find points. "

It was pretty similar to the last few year but I would say Kruse, Schwartzer and Holman are the big outs even if Holman stopped playing about halfway through last year. Off the top of my head the players that are getting more time this year (including new players to Europe) are: Leckie, McGowan, Irvine, Rogic*, Bozanic, Ryan with Jedinak and Holland getting a chance to play at a higher level this year. Players getting less time: Schwartzer, Kruse, Zullo, Holman

* indications were he was going to get more time but got an injury

Now I would say we are getting more players playing in Europe we have just lost our three playing at the highest level. I also purposefully skipped players at lower levels (ie Luongo, Halloran) and players who played less than 10 games last season (Ruka, Herd) were could not go on the worse this year list.

So I have it at us getting 2 more players receiving significant game-time than those on out this season compared to last in Europe. It just looks bad with 3 of the 4 players missing time all being national team regulars. Also I agree this is not a magnificent time for Aussie players but the decline didn't start this season imo. Please pick me up on anyone I missed.

True, I suppose if you look at our last full strength starting XI in the world cup qualifiers (Not counting East Asian Cup) we have:

Mark Schwarzer (Reduced game time but we have a wealth of good GK's)
Luke Wilkshire (Has played a bit on the bench lately?, correct if wrong)
Lucas Neill (Just signed so expecting increased game time)
Sasa Ognenovski (Good game time levels)
Matt McKay (Just signed so expecting increased game time)
Mark Milligan (Unless he signs for palace guaranteed 90mins)
Mark Bresciano (Good game time)
Robbie Kruse (Worried he may become a benchwarmer, would love to be proved wrong but)
Tommy Oar (Pretty good game time)
Brett Holman (Will get good game time, but feel he may be on the outer a bit)
Tim Cahill (Good game time, will be interesting to see if/where he signs on loan, in a WC year he surely will, have no idea where though!)

So out of those players pretty much all will/are getting game time at their respective clubs, one of the ones I worry about (was a sub) is Rogic. I love him and in actual fact he is my favorite player in the NT (Shattered he didn't come to Reading). I know he has injuries but just worry that he might not see the game time needed to get a starting berth at the WC, and with his talent and technical ability he should be in our staring XI

Am 99% sure this game is not being broadcasted on Australian TV so this should not be against the rules.

This one is a few seconds behind but has better quality

Leckie heavily involved but no real highs as yet.

Jedinak. Looking forward to it. Anyone got him on fantasy? for me he will get many yellows but may pop up for a goal or bonus points with his leadership.

Great run and assist by Leckie! Assists and goals so far this season have been brilliant. Would definitely have him for Bundesliga 2 fantasy. If Kruse doesn't get game time, Leckie to start for me. He is playing right and left mid swapping the wings every 15mins.
