Thanks for updating on Jedinak, after watching my mighty gunners collapse, I can't bear to watch a match with spuds in it. Hopefully this year of EPL will prepare him well for the WC!

I'd take him there in a heartbeat.

Still, the awesome moment when a Melbourne Victory Vice Captain keeps a Premier League Captain out of his preferred spot in the Socceroos first XI is awesome.

Hmm, not sure I really rate Davidson after watching the first half. Doesn't really stand out, really sloppy backpass to the keeper, misread play twice. Hard to make a proper judgement after 45 mins so hopefully a much better 2nd half.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Davidson having a better 2nd half. Currently up 3-1 after a fuckin ripper of a strike by Wierik.

Trying to watch two games at once (Eredivisie & Spurs/Palace) but more and more drawn to Palace and the fantastic game Jedinak is having. His positioning has been exceptional and he's proving to be a real on-field leader too. Hope he can keep it up but still room to improve with his passing.

Jedinak could probably do a job in a wingback position given all the ground he's covered today.

Jedinak was a tank in the midfield I'd give him man of the match. Solid game by the palace captain. He was mentioned numerous times by the commentary team Aswell singling him out for praise. Palace ended up losing 0-1 to a penalty

Good result for Heracles, 4-2 win away from home. I guess I'd give Davidson a 6/10, did well when moved to CB. Let's hope he gets some more consistent game time.

Yeah he has been in the reserves but they are playing so terribly at the moment you would think they might rotate some of their defenders eventually. 2-0 down after 14 mins

Didn't watch the Palace game but just looking at Stats Zone and Jedinaks defensive stats were excellent.
9 recoveries, 4 tackles, 3 interceptions, 1 block and 2 heading duels.
He also made by far the most passes of any Palace player (although the 75% success rate isn't overly impressive).
Hell of a debut none the less.

Yay I got more good news, after Davidson starting last night Halloran has traveled with the squad to Berlin and should be on the bench tomorrow morning hopefully making his debut. Even if he doesn't promotion to the first team is a good sign, remember Kruse's first season (11 appearances - 2 starts, 9 off the bench and 10 on the bench with no game-time).

It seems this Fink (31yrs old) guy has been dropped for him after only making 2 10 minute appearances this season so Halloran might not get too much time. Fink could also be dropped for his performances in training or a general decline with age but we don't get than info. Also Mathis Bolly played an international on the 15th in America (he played last Dusseldorf game) and he might also be out just because of recovery and could push Halloran out next game but it is hard to tell.

NOTE: If it seems like I repeat the article above it is because I am trying to interpret the information for you and get any extra info (ie Bolly's friendly location, how much Fink has played) that could hint to what is happening because purely reading the Google translation is pretty confusing. German to English seems especially bad.

Anyway here is the article

http://www.derwesten.de/sport/lokalsport/duesseldorf/fink-kehrt-in-berlin-wohl-ins-fortuna-aufgebot-zurueck-id8329835.html

Quote:
Büskens not satisfied with Fink
The 31-year-old midfielder had rounder last naturally brought his disappointment over the decision of its grandstand trainer for expression. The turn did not agree with the achievements of the industry since 2009, almost always set worker. "I had to, Finki 'spoken twice in the run and give my impressions. It is not my claim on it to hang a list of eighteen names on the wall before the game, "said Büskens.

2 BUNDESLIGA

Oliver Fink - From Fortuna-time favorite for spectators
In the home match against TSV 1860 Munich Oliver Fink was last disregarded. "I was surprised and shocked. One explanation I can give, unfortunately, "says Fortuna professional. Finch is in Dusseldorf expired under coach Mike Büskens?

The Australian Ben Halloran qualified with a good performance in a 4-3 home win for the Regional team on Saturday over former Bundesliga club Rot-Weiss Essen. Coach Büskens was Flinger Broich live. And rewarded the blond with a ticket to Berlin.

Safely from his New York tour with the Ivory Coast (1:4 in the test against Mexico) Mathis Bolly has returned to Dusseldorf. And trained with no problems on Saturday and Sunday. Nevertheless, the Norwegian-born could be one of the starting of the Munich matches after previously regular appearances, who finds himself on the bench. I wonder what could be an opportunity for Stefan Reisinger in this case.

Looking further into it Fink seems to have had a falling out with the manager. I won't post the full article but from another article comes this

Quote:
But the question remains: Is Fink's time has expired under Büskens?

I've said this before, I would like to see Jedinak and Williams as the Socceroos CB pairing at the WC. Both big and strong, great leaders and I have move faith in Jedinak and Williams controlling a Neynar, Rooney, Suarez etc. then Neill and whoever.
