Re Jedinak I have a better idea. Rather than playing him at centre back, where he's never played before, why don't we play him in the position he's played in his entire career, in centre midfield? I know we have megastars like Millgan and McKay hovering around there, but surely we can squeeze a premier leauge captain in?

This surprised me. Thought that Weidenfeller (sp?) was suspended for the first 2 matches of the season...


Only if we pair him up with someone that can pass, as Jedi will want to quickly move the ball sideways to someone that can be more creative with it.

Halloran missed the squad but did make the away day trip. one report I read before actually mentioned him so there is some progress and Dusseldorf II form is much better than the senior team so he may get a chance. the reason he didn't make the bench was that thy decided Bolly had recovered from his international game and the coach seemed to backtrack on Funk and give him his longest appearance so far. Hopefully this wasn't down to Halloran being bad in training

Does anyone know if Davidson getting a run is due to an injury or he's been doing better at Heracles?

No injury, on page 98 of this thread I posted and article with 'Heracles: Dorda loses starting spot to Davidson'. Reading the rest of the article doesn't really help but just from that it suggests he is in on merits

Yeah me I thought he might be as he traveled with the squad to Berlin and there were 2 players in his position that were said to be in doubt, unfortunately they both played. I tried to explain it earlier

So the manager seemed to have hinted at making changes to the 18 but didn't. Dusseldorf have now not won in 4 competitive fixtures including a cup game against a team in the same league as Dusseldorf II and 5 points below them. If Halloran is the first in line to be promoted there is a chance it won't be too long before we see him

Rogic returning from injury, on the bench for Celtic in their UCL qualifier in Kazakhstan..kick off in about an hour.

Karagandy up 2-0 with 8 to go and Celtic throw another forward on but Rogic still on the bench. I understand damage control but an away goal here would be very valuable and they're tired so Rogic would weave through them. hate Rogic not playing.

Shame. All the non playing time is not going to help his development. May as well stayed in the A-league.

He's been injured for the past two/three weeks and only made his return overnight... Lennon seemed to struggle tactically, it's frustrating watch them struggle with creativity and control in the final third and feel that they don't appreciate Rogic's ability in that area

James Holland set to play European Champions League football this season. His side Austria Vienna are in pole position to qualify for the group stage after having sealed a 2-0 away win.

well that was pretty unexpected. I think most people were expecting Celtic to get through pretty easily and Austria Worn to go out but now it looks like the opposite. 2-0 advantage at home you would expect Austria to go through and then we will have Holland playing Champions league group stages

maybe thinking rogic should have waited till the end of the european season before moving anywhere, those games h played in the qualifiers were a great shop window for him. Hard to say how he will do in a very celtic team with an even poorer manager.

I'm very worried Rogic's career is on the same path as Nick Carle's. Beloved of the fans, clearly talented like few other Aussies, yet wasting his time and talent in the wrong places.

People do jump the gun a little bit, don't they? At least it shows they're concerned though. But yes he has just come back from injury and even for the ECL game was 50/50

Rogic should be fine - He was getting Celtic MOM's in the pre-season friendlies.
