Not a bad line-up, but you and I both know what tactics that team would resort to. Neither Kennedy nor Cahill have bad feet, and with Rogic pulling strings I think we could do some damage up the middle. Obviously not ideal but having great heading ability doesn't mean they are flops in all other areas. Possibly Holman could partner Cahill but Kennedy is a proven goalscorer.

Ruka has been given no.10 for Frankfurt. I don't know if it really means anything, I am guessing not since he is a loanee but I think a low number always suggests they will play Dam Vidosic, found an interview of him but forgot he speaks fluent German. It is pretty impressive that an Aussie is speaking it so well though. He actually talks about quite a bit it seems. From the few English words (Proper nouns) he talks about Bozanic and mentions CCM and talks about the East Asia cup. Here is the link to the article which contains it and it uses quite a few quotes from the interview. http://www.20min.ch/sport/dossier/superleague/story/Sion-hofft-auf-seinen-neuen-Australier-15626405Says he didn't play too well but was good since he only joined the team on Wednesday. Also FC Sion called the 'Welshmen' Quote:t was the last game of the World Cup qualifying four years ago, when Vidosic made his debut for the Australian national team. A game that the offensive player would rather forget. The then 22-year-old came for Tim Cahill to the place that has just been made the 2-1 lead the "Socceroos" against Japan. But the game went completely past Vidosic.
Photo galleries Sion's goal curse is broken
The Australian-Croatian dual citizen has learned. The debut for FC Sion on Saturday against FC Aarau (1:0) was much better. It certainly was not a brilliant performance from the new playmaker, but he showed that he can be in the future the game Sion beneficial. Recognition of Michel Decastel it was definitely safe. The Sion coach praised the overview of 26-year-olds, the ball security and was pleased with how well he already harmonized with the teammates, although Vidosic trained with the Welshmen only since last Wednesday.
Acquaintance with the Bundesliga
He was very good and friendly been included in the new team completely satisfied with their purchase in Aarau, even if he is not quite where he wants to be in terms of performance. "I have trained well this week, but it will be better if I with the team a few days to go to training camp next week and we get to know better. I can still feel the jet lag and am a bit tired, "says Vidosic. The return trip to the Valais, after the victory in Aarau but certainly enjoyable. "I think I'll sleep very well," said the Aussie.
Vidosic is as an attacking midfielder, 18 for Australia, he has played more internationals. He has a failed Bundesliga adventure behind: in 2007 he moved to Germany from 1 FC Nuremberg, who shortly into the second Bundesliga relegation. As a result, he was loaned to Bielefeld and Duisburg, a total of 18 inserts (without gate) in the first and their 51 (14 goals) in the second Bundesliga are in Vidosic to book. In 2011 he returned to Australia to Adelaide United and he scored in 26 league games last season in 10 matches. Sion he signed a three-year contract.
Australians in the Super League
"Switzerland has a good league, clubs and good players and a good audience. I look forward to every game and every duel, especially if it goes against the top clubs such as Basel, Zurich or the Young Boys. "Switzerland seems to be a good ground for Australians. Scott Chipperfield (Basel ex) and Oliver Bozanic (Lucerne) Vidosic knows personally. "With Scottie I played on the national team at the 2010 World Cup and Oliver I know from the junior selection. Both are very good players. Scottie is almost a legend in Basel and Oliver with his five goals that he has been shot, showed that Australians Switzerland is a good ground for us. "
Vidosic is the new Scottie in Valais? "I hope so," says the 18-time International and grins. "I'm trying, but I do step by step. I still need training. Now I have a good two weeks due to national break to look after my health, and then we'll see. " Edited by moofa: 3/9/2013 09:18:12 PM

lol'd at Cornthwaite. Don't forget Wilksinson. He's on a great run at the moment.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

AZ's director of football on Babalj, seems positive but of coarse it will since he signed him. He is also in their Europa league squad as number 9 http://www.az.nl/nieuws/stewart-gudelj-is-een-winnaar/1?catid=Quote:Eli Babalj Birthdate: February 21, 1991 Position: Striker Comes from: Melbourne Heart (sale) "In March or April we got a tip from our scouting network to Eli Babalj agree to go see. When is Max Huiberts went to Australia to live to see him in action. Then I started watching with him. Again When I have spoken directly with Eli. What we saw was a promising striker. Enquiry to include Joey Didulica brought us more knowledge. Joey said, " If you treat him like gold, you get gold . If you give him confidence, he pays it back. That is so in Slavic boys with temperament. We have to Alkmaar met him with a view to the future. Eli must get used to the pace and recuperate at AZ. In addition, the way of playing different than he is used to. We want to give him all the rest to adjust and develop. "Is over Jong AZ "Eli has very specific properties for a striker. He is very tall, but has a great ball handling and is very mobile. That combination you rarely see. That struck me immediately when I was in Australia. It is not a type of ram or pinch hitter . Eli is a targeted striker. After Aron Jóhannsson he made the most goals in the preparation. If AZ being we can not pick players who have already made. 30 league goals Representing a tremendous value. We scout for potency, just as we did with Jozy Altidore. Even with Eli we see the potential of a scorer. In terms of others in Europe I don't think there are any real surprises with Amini missing out that people could have thought had a chance. And on Amini this is a good chance to get a spot in the starting lineup as he was only starting because of injury. He has 4-6 weeks to show he should be starting, so far so good. http://www.schwatzgelb.de/2013-09-04-spielbericht-amateure-wende-an-der-wedau.htmlQuote:In addition, another defensive specialist Evans Nyarko falls out with a medial ligament tear for 4-6 weeks and also Julian Derstroff must miss at least two weeks with ankle problems. Nyarko was replaced in midfield by Amini and instead of Derstroff came Bajner used. Marvin Ducksch moved it back to the offensive midfield. Quote:The MSV pressed on for an equalizer. Onuegbu but failed several times at the Dortmund defense, Alomerovic or their own inability. So put BVB after after a good half hour. Again, the action of Treude went out, together with the ansetzte Ducksch to Tici-Taca and so Amini played freely in the penalty area. The was not to be asked twice and slammed the ball high into the corner of the net dry half. His first goal in a competitive game for BVB duly celebrated the Australian Wuschelkopf. The away section completely freaked out now and again gave the popular with the amateurs Pogo version of the song on the drug for the best. Since the MSV attachment could only marvel. Amini's goal courtesy of Kevin Airs it seems Edited by moofa: 5/9/2013 04:29:08 PM

When you make a football compilation on a defender, especially a CB, I think it suggests something extra special. Kid should be starting ahead of Neill now. Has the form, ability and pedigree

Cracker by Musti, hope he takes advantage of the other guys being injured. Good to see that it was also he that won the possession back in the first place.

Yep, hopefully he moves back to Europe soon. There are some decent attacking players in the CSL so at least he is up against some good opposition here and there.

On McGowan, for what little it's worth his transfer value estimate on transfermarkt has almost doubled in his time with Shandong so hopefully that's a sign he's still on the radar for European clubs.
