Devere and Hammill definitely need to move.

I would suggest that the pre season under Rado,where he dismantled the Roar structure and left it to the players to do as they please,was a negative influence on Halloran development.I imagine a full pre season under Magic Mike or Ange would have seen Halloran improve rather than wither as happened last season.RIP Rado and onwards and upwards for Halloran .

Babalj's injury seems to be a 'sports hernia' (here's Wiki page of what I think he has). 2 months out

I thought his season under mike was better than kruse at the same age but his following season he went backward. Perhaps he is better than we think

I always felt with Ben he was trying to play like Broich and not his natural game.

Eric is a good journeyman ,but too slow for international football .

Inman and Luongo scored, and Joel Griffiths did twice, nice.

I wonder what the future holds for Inman? First year of a three year deal with Crewe, and it looks like they won't get any higher than mid-table this season so no promotion to the Championship. I guess the plan is to play for a transfer. If that doesn't come through then maybe we'll be seeing him in the A-League.

Friendly or otherwise halloran is getting a lot of time

Just saw a list of Serie A players whose contracts are ending this season and noticed Valeri's does. Hopefull he will break into his sides first team but I really doubt so as he was not playing regularly in the second tier when he got injured. If he is not offered a new contract he could be a good pick up for an A-league team. Good chance he will stay in Italy and as I think he has a family there but it would be nice to see.

After writing this I remembered I have not looked him up in a while and he returned to the pitch last Thursday in a friendly.

I don't think he will play this week, well at least sights suggesting squads for this week are not including him but it is still great to see him back. They won 11-1 by the way, terrible opposition I am guessing.

Sarota and Valeri on the way back is good news. Whether Valeri will get any game time is questionable as you say but it would be a bonus if he does and could be considered as an option for the WC squad. However we would then have Jedinak, Milligan, Holland, Sarota and Valeri fighting for two or perhaps 3 spots in the WC squad depending on what the new coach does tactically.

Sarota only had one game at DM last year before he was injured the rest he played at RM or LM when Oar was out. If we can go back to 4-4-2 or anything other than 4-2-3-1 really we could move Kruse to Striker or SS and play him as a RM.

I know he plays the exact same position as Oar on the right hand side but I think he is a bit different player to Oar. Also in a 4-2-3-1 I would rather, perhaps wrongly play Kruse, Leckie and perhaps Vidosic out wide. Perhaps we should be looking at playing a 4-4-2 diamond like they do at Utrecht. Jedinak/Milligan/Holland at DM, Sarota on the right, Oar on the left and Bresciano/Rogic as the AM. Kruse could play as a second striker along side Kennedy. It would require the fullbacks to get forward a lot to provide the width in attack.
