Great to see ruka and leckie linking together. I think we need ton get this set up in the upcoming friendly. W kruse out ruka can take his place the lineup.

I think he's played right side for Australia and done ok. Was it Ruka right and Leckie up front or vice versa? Either could work I guess.

Extended highlights of the FSV match. Edited by playmaker11: 8/2/2014 09:14:01 PM
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Edited by playmaker11: 8/2/2014 09:14:01 PM As good a coverage of our 2 boys up front that you'll find, aside from streaming the games live. Good to see both of them getting starting roles at the same time, they are certainly capable at that level. Who knows, if they continue to flourish, they might just be the lads we see starting for us at the World Cup. Good to see

Palace with a huge win for their relegation survival hopes with a 3-1 win over West Brom. Jedinak with the full 90, of course.

Jedinak was fairly solid throughout, would like to see the stats on how many players he stripped. Some off his passing and ball work was a little bit suspect in the last 30, he would have been punished by a better team. 2 goals from the newbs and a solid performance from dann - it's looking good for cp and captain jedi to be in top flight again next year.

I watched the first half of the Luzern game and Bozanic was quality. Unfortunately put a header just wide, would've been a fantastic goal.

Seems like one of the most obvious choices. Milligan is another option due to his personality, and certainly Cahill, Wilkshire or Breciano if they were to start every game due to their undoubted experience. Certainly wouldn't be surprised if it was Jedi though. It's a pretty sound endorsement that he's a solid fixture for the Socceroos now given that he's playing every minute of the best league in the world as a club captain and we barely ever feel the need to mention him on this thread! He also played against Corinthians (2-2) and Palmeiras (1-0 win). Even though both teams are making heaps of subs, that's one hell of a pre-season. K-League doing good things.

Davidson just had a good game, not a whole lot got through on his flank. Decent going forward. Ended 1-1, pretty crap result at home against a weaker side. Vidosic on the bench. He was also on the bench last week so perhaps out of form.. can't find any injury news.

Vidosic on the bench. He was also on the bench last week so perhaps out of form.. can't find any injury news. Personally thought he looked a bit ordinary TBH. Made too many passing mistakes, gave away too many unnecessary fouls, and got caught out a few times.

Vidosic on the bench. He was also on the bench last week so perhaps out of form.. can't find any injury news. That's five straight losses for Sion as they've plummeted down the table to second last. With that sort of form I guess the manager felt changes had to be made. This morning's loss was particularly tough as it was against bottom club Lausanne who close the gap further. On current form, Sion could be relegated even though they still have a 7 point buffer over Lausanne. The other Aussies who will also be looking over their shoulders are Sarota and Oar. Utrecht also are on a very poor run taking just one point from their last 5 matches and now sit just 3 points above the relegation zone.

To be completely honest, Vidosic frustrates me.
He's always had plenty of promise, and there's no doubt about his talent, but I don't think he's ever quite delivered. I've been disappointed with his efforts for the National team where he's largely been anonymous when given the chance.

Interesting, first i've seen of him. Looks strong in the air (his height definitely helps), hard to tell how quick he is but he doesn't look slow to me. Positioning looked tidy enough. Standard of football didn't seem too great, and I know his team isn't doing well at all, but I wonder if Ange has taken a look at him.
I'm sure people with better analysis skills and football brains would be able to deconstruct that package much better than I can.
