Amini is on the bench for BVB friendly match today, i can see why he wasn't involved with the second team yesterday.

They need to loan him out they cant keep him in the II team till his contract runs out. Needs to go a Bundesliga 2. team if possible.

Also Langerak isn't starting, instead its a new keeper playing. Quite a concern that too.

Hmm ok Bonmann is playing....I wonder where Mitch is?

On the bench, he only just started training this week so will probably see a half.

I don't think Bonmann is new either, he signed 2 years ago IIRC and struggles to get a run out in the reserves, nothing in this but I'm sure Bowden will fap himself to death. It would be a bad sign if it was Alomerovic, this is just Klopp giving a kid a run out.

Mitch on for the 2nd half. Going to check the recording I've got to see the performance. BVB up 5:1 at the half.

Great low save with one arm on 57min. Fast forwaded to the 70th min now. Nothing really happening otherwise. WC players are normally given a bit of an extra holiday even if they don't play. Although Australia went out early, Japanese and Chilean players in Germany were mostly given extended breaks.

Amini with about 10 passes in the first 5 minutes. Really getting involved and a couple of good passes using good vision. Put Ji through but offside. I think I can see an Amini-Brilliante partnership forming. Luongo is also good value and hopefully Herd can recover and be our reliable versatile bloke.

He passed very well. I just hope he gets a full season in the 3rd league and then he can move to a different club and start permanently there. It wouldn't bother me if it were a Eredivisie club or a European competition playing club elsewhere.

Edwards played the other day and seems to have done well again getting an assist in a 2-0 win. He started and played until the 75th minute.

The Goals:

Looks like Ruka is back at Mainz but only with the reserves. Scored twice in a 6-1 win against amateur opposition.

Didn't go with the first team for a camp in England

Quote from Mainz manager

Quote:
Chinedu Ede and Nikita Rukavytsya, both of which have remained in Mainz: "The guys know about It's no big secret that the sporting prospects for both is not so good.."

Surely he'll be off to a new club asap...?

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

He was 18 when you saw him here. Just turned 21 now and has had injury problems for a lot of last season. CCM played him as a #10 but Klopp believes he is a deep-lying playmaker.

After looking at the Reading stuff irt Edwards, actually noticed it seems Federci could start the season as number one, because of takeover/money talk, McCarthy transfer speculation too.

So that'd be interesting to follow for all those in angst about Aussies only being backup keepers.

I have always rated Amini right from the moment his smile lit up the SFS when the Mariners crushed Glory 5-0. He is a real talent and will be a key Socceroo in years to come. No one passes the ball so quickly and efficiently in the Australian game.

Article looking at Fiorentina's possible plans for the rest of the transfer window. Suggests keeping Caudrado would be their best signing and they need reinforcements in central midfield. It mentions that Brillante has taken advantage of the situation by playing well but Ithink we can still expect someone to be brought in to be first choice over him. Especially if Cuadrado is sold.

Serie C?? If they loan him out to Serie C then they must consider him a loooong way of Serie A quality. Serie B would be understandable, but the gap to Serie C is just too big. He's been training and playing with the senior squad a bit in the offseason and doing consistently well at Primavera.

Either they rate him or they don't, and now is the time in his development we'll find out!

Not as bad as that may sound, the President of Salernitana is the brother in law of the President of Lazio, and Lazio's wiki lists five current players on loan with them, so there's obviously a farm team arrangement.

Alleged quote from Ikon's agent, Ulisse Savini:

It is obvious, however, that at the time were looming hypothesis of a loan, the Salerno will surely be one of the teams that will be proposed . Of course the shades of meaning to gauge how probable a move is are totally lost in google translate.
