Sarota made a break through before Oar to be fair. However, point taken. In the end, our players only break through faster in weaker competitions where the gap between said league and the HAL (or the quality of the individual player) isn't actually that big.

Davidson got a full 90 for the U21s last night so is hopefully back to full fitness and can properly fight for his place in the team
Brilliante also played another friendly vs a lower Italian club I think. he started in a pretty weak central midfield combination. Don't know how long he played

People said he worked hard in midfield but went missing a bit, but that was just down to experience. Has very good ideas when transitioning into attack. One Vinnie Grella was looking on to check on his boy:

Oh c'mon and who IS wearing a flash suit there? It's pre-season game with a second XI, probably cold, come in your casual wear... Then again - casual wear in Italy? Out for a spot of shopping? :p

moofa wrote:I missed it but Brad Smith played midweek so his injury must not have been that bad EDIT: Ok not the article, but there was one from about him being not as bad as first feared, no break, and might be ready for the Crewe game (which is this weekend). What I didn't know about him was this: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/football/brad-smith-commits-international-future-to-australia/story-fn63e0vj-1227032139476Wow. All that talk about him rejected Australia. We have young left back. \o/ Edited by andytoddselbow: 21/8/2014 07:52:36 PM

A couple of accounts on twitter saying Sainsbury will start against Sparta
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Any injury updates on Rogic?
Would love to see him get an Aussie marquee spot if he's fit enough to play by A-League season.

The Brugge and Feyenoord results are both really good. A draw at home will make it a little hard for Zwolle to qualify but they seemed to have been the batter team. Should have capitalized on their dominance, especially when they did get a penalty pretty early on. Good to see Sainsbury straight in for a big tie though.
