Season starts and so does the reality check for everyone that was going on about how good our current crop of players are.
Was really hoping langerak and Dortmund came away with 3 so that Klopp didn't have a reason to put weiderfeller back.
Hopefully Davidson takes his chance, he is the most surprising for me as he seems to struggle at a lot less level so if he does well a fantastic achievement.
I don't follow Italian football, has brilliante played again since the late sub against Madrid?

Injuries and late transfers asside it hasnt been a bad start to the season Quote: Hopefully Davidson takes his chance, he is the most surprising for me as he seems to struggle at a lot less level so if he does well a fantastic achievement.
How did he struggle at eredivisie level he started for a full season and played very well. Statistically he was well above average which is good for a 22 yr old. The season before he had an extended run as a starter Quote: I don't follow Italian football, has brilliante played again since the late sub against Madrid?
yes he played in the only friendly since then its a pretty high le el basically like playing for arsenal. Hard to believe he will break throubh this season but fingers crossed he will get subbed Edited by grazorblade: 24/8/2014 10:13:02 AM

I just think besides Jedinak it's hard to find anyone that's a key part of a team in a high level league at the moment.

We're in about the same position we were last year except with slightly more depth with more starters at Championship level. Still a few key players injured at the moment too.

Quote: OS Aussies (FCAU) @OSAussies
@chrisikonomidis played a full match for @officialsslazio against Brett Holman's Al Nasr in a friendly, 0-0. Got to play alongside Klose
Not sure how strong the Lazio lineup was but good to see he's getting a run. Edited by JAyEss: 24/8/2014 11:38:37 AM

The shot was a few meters away from Langerak he didn;t have time to react. If players are allowed to get into central shooting positions then the keeper can't go down partially in preparation like they would do if it was on more of an angle.

Sainsbury on the bench. Hopefully just tired legs from midweek.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Sainsbury hasn't had much to do, made 1 or 2 blocks/tackles, Zwolle with most of the field position and possession. Big Stef Nijland just scored for Zwolle, 2-1.

A combination of pace, timing of run and great close control, splits them, keeper stranded, 1-0 Ingolstadt!

It was work on the edge of the box, ball got played and Leckie ran through the top of the 18 yard area, cut and split 2 defenders, slid ball past keeper, goooooooolllllll

Matty Leckie growing in confidence throughout this match. Wins an important foul, out pacing as well as adding composure with ball at feet. Pops up on the right and whips in a great ball! Ingolstadt 2-0! Assist Leckie
