HT, Feyenoord 1-1 Utrecht. Oar assist. Wilkshire playing reasonably well. Holland starting in the Vienna derby Edited by playmaker11: 24/8/2014 11:21:09 PM
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Wilkshire and Oar up against each other! Sarota on the bench.
Edited by playmaker11: 24/8/2014 09:33:50 PM I've been watching this one. Wilkshire looks absolutely great. Oar just capitalized on embarrassing defending by Feyenoord to get an assist. Not australian, but this is the first time I've watched Yassin Ayoub for Utrecht and honestly I'll not be surprised if he gets a big transfer soon. Any time Oar has looked remotely good, it's because Ayoub has just set him up perfectly.

How did Leckie end up at this club , they are a gang of hard running hacks who bang the ball forward.

Watched the first half hour of the Utrecht game before I switched to the Ingolstadt game and thought Oar was very quiet. Not much for Wilkshire to do but floated in some decent crosses.

Ange's training camps with our boys are not to be underestimated. The lads have gone back to their clubs at great levels, and it's showing in my opinion. Ball control, agility and stamina, as you'd put in FIFA terms, are all +'s for the lads post Brazil

I had to do some research on their club myself, and they aren't clearly an amazingly gifted lot, technically. A lot of young lads with good physical attributes, their manager obviously thinks he can have a crack at gelling some youngsters into a certain style which we'll no doubt see. Having watched a few of their games since Leckie was officially announced I've got some idea on their shape. They have some good combinations with players on the same wavelength in key area's. They are tactically very good. Greuther did not look threatening on the most part, the defense led by Joel Matip's brother look comfortable. At time's throughout today's second half I saw players from Ingolstadt make some defensive errors (jumping in on opposition, one instance a counter attack) which they easily covered with pace and strength in challenges. Again, time well tell whether this group is a top 4 team, but for me, the early signs are good Edited by sanga1: 24/8/2014 11:35:55 PM

Since he just got back from injury I guess he might've needed a bit of time to get settled into the match. Hope he plays well in the second half.

terrible free kick from tommy oar. maybe there was some wind behind it. nice to hear the english commentator point out oar as the 'danger man' despite the hacked fk.

Good ball by Oar and the only time I think he has used his right foot all game. But far out how did the Feyenoord defender get pushed off the run so easily? Should never have been a goal, the defending (particularly in the centre) in the Eredivisie is laughable at best. Every goal tonight I've put down to awful defending.

tommy's positioned on the right but he's floating around box to box as an attacking mid. just the kind of thing our squad needs, some attacking midfielders. until now i forgot he had a solid run as the AM at the WC

Oar is clearly the only decent player in this pretty ordinary Ultrecht outfit. WIlkshire people have to be kidding themselves. The bloke is being covered for by his team, and you can see his vulnerability with lack of pace. Wilkshire is quality with his passing though.

I have only watched the second half but this Ayoub of yours is driving me crazy in the second half, tunnel vision ignoring free players and holding onto the ball too long.
