Jedinak has made a couple of good clearances on the past 5 minutes but Hull have control of the midfield atm. Lesley and Jedinak are being let down by the players in front of them.

So I guess - atleast he made the bench? IIRC He only ever arrived in-context of being the #2 to their primary LB and his initial starts were just filling in? He clearly seems just a rotation player and that makes logical sense.
But agreed with arguments about how he may've benefitted more being a regular in the Eredivisie. But I suppose in the short-window of a professional career, these young players HAVE to jump at the dollars of the UK. Same goes for Rogic to a degree, though many of us questioned, right from the start, how beneficial to his football, such a move would be.
The UK - even those who's game more suited to the style, like Chris Herd, they still struggle in regards to injuries! Only physically mature, strong, types like Jedinak, seem to get on? He's the minority? Holman had a relatively miserable time of it too, coming from basically starring in the Eredivisie. Hopefully Luongo can stay relatively fit in the coming seasons and move up the divisions. Talking of Brad Smith, he's already suffered with injuries, early into his career, but hopefully the worst is behind him and he can get some substantive senior football under his belt and too, move up the divisions.

Welcome back Kruse, on in the 82nd minute
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

playmaker11 wrote:Welcome back Kruse, on in the 82nd minute Nice. Apparently he's looking quick which is a good sign post ACL. Jedinak is playing well in this 3 man midfield of Palace. Today he seems to be dropping deeper as a 3rd CB at times and letting McArthur and Ledley do the chasing in front of him which is seemingly suiting him well, don't think he's had to make a tackle or be in a position where it's necessary for him to try to pick out a tight pass which is how we should be setting up for the Roos. INB4 someone somehow links this to something irrelevant about Milligan.

Luongo nabbed an assist in the first half in his match. Becoming very consistent.

Edited by socceroo_06: 5/10/2014 10:13:03 AM It this the same Stan Lazaridis, who after the WC came back to the A-League as an ex-EPL player in 2006 & over the next 2 years played 13 games in the A-League and most of that was pretty forgetful. I thought Lazaridus was technically very limited. Good getting crosses in and had pace but not much else. Besides I think the EPL has been alot tougher to crack over the past 5 to 10 years.

tsf wrote:Only a new dawn fool would give shit to Lazaridis. This says more about you then anything else. I had followed Lararidis career in England with West Ham & Birmingham & even manage to watch him play on my visits to England, where many in the media were comparing him to Steve Macmanam. He had a great career. However by 2006 injuries had taken it's toll, hence why he did not get a run under Hiddink & played on 13 games in the A-League in the following 2 seasons & like I said most of those games were fairly forgetful. In Lazaridis defence I'm pretty sure he was banned for a year for inadvertently using a banned substance to treat his alopecia. Hence why he played very few games in the a league.
