oar completes only 7 passes all game but still creates 2 chances and an assist bad game for him by his standards but still did well

i like the idea of troisi and luongo in the midfield. If we are chasing a game could even have luongo at the base with troisi and bresc at 10s

Finally home from work and get to see this. Interesting to see he put this goal past Kawashima. Omen for January?

Is Luongo going to be good enough? Haven't watched him play much but when I have haven't been overly impressed. Reminds me of Kilkenny, decent technique but played at a higher level. Maybe that he's being chased by Championship sides isn't something to get overly excited about.

Does Liverpool have any domestic cup games coming up that they want him for?

I don't think he's registed for the Champions League. Daniel Garb's guess is probably correct, in the squad for the cup game against Swansea next week.

Probably just Giannou. Halloran isn't a certain starter anymore.

As far as I can tell he's ineligible for Champions League as he's not on the list on the UEFA site. Liverpool are entering a hectic period of their calendar right now though, and with this Moreno injured then game time in the Swansea match on the 29th (or maybe even the Hull game on the 26th, three days after the Real Madrid game) is on the cards. Giancarlo Gallifuoco was named in the Swansea City U21 Squad to play Barnsley in a game that would have just finished, no word yet of his involvement. James Demetriou is out injured. Skapetis and Grant may be involved in Stoke's U21 match against Bolton at 05:00, and Marveggio's Fortuna Sittard will play PSV II at the same time.

Kop Talk wrote:We're also informed that Liverpool want Smith back because of ongoing knee and groin problems, having returned to Melwood some time ago for assessment and treatment. Since then he has been away on international duty but he hasn't figured for Town recently due to injury. Well that doesn't make sense, if he was injured enough to cut short a loan, why would he be called up to the Socceroos?

Great if Skapetis plays as injury playing for the Young Socceroos looked very serious at the time.
