Really decent assist from Leckie. But boy wouldn't it be great if he (or somebody) had both ability on the ball and the ability to finish. We seem to have a reasonable midfield, all things considered. Up front there's a dearth of talent.

Leckie was a little quiet but I think the team plays better when he has the ball more. His decision making has been good this season.

Giannou has about ten minutes left at 2-2 in Panionios v Atromitos, his striking partner with their two goals, one a pen.

Marveggio starting for Fortuna Sittard against VVV, still 0-0 after about an hour, no sign of Ascroft or Cooper for Venlo.

Can't really tell where Wilkshire is on the field with my stream, although whoscored has an assist to his name. Currently winning 1-0 on 65 mins.
He's taking a free kick right now, actually....

HT for Behich who started at Bursaspor vs Trabzonspor, 2-2 there as well.

Wilkshire very influential in midfield here, could be motm.

Very high tempo game in Tukey, Behich dealing with a lot of aerial balls into the box. Am unsure of his culpability if any for the two goals against them as of yet. Bursaspor winning 3-2 with half an hour left.

FT, 1-0 win for Wilkshire and Feyenoord. He would have got whoscored's MOTM, had the highest points for his team, but the RB from NAC got 8 points somehow. Interested to see if he keeps playing in this more advanced role, he seemed very effective from what I saw.

Haven't seen Aziz in the opposition's half yet, odd for such a mobile game, while their RB is up there all the time. Possibly under instruction.
Just let a striker in front of him for a cross just now, but pressured his shot over.

Jones will either be MOTM or concede 5 shockers. No inbetweens.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Jones letting one through from a FK at the death of the first half, in fairness Skrtel should have dealt with it.
1-1 at HT.

Jones beaten at his near post by Giroud slamming it at point blank range, defenders nowhere to be seen.
Interesting to see where the recriminations will land for these ones.

Ryan saving a penalty then conceding a minute afterwards? Unsure, still got the Liverpool Arsenal game on.

Second yellow for Liverpool's Borini, and nine minutes of added time. Jones might be busy very soon.

Skrtel, after a terrible game in defence, heads in the equaliser from a 97th minute corner. 2-2.
Jones might be safe for another week.

Absolute clanger by a Genk defender passing it straight to the Brugges striker right in front of goal, Ryan arm in arm with his manager, I suppose joking about it. Club Brugge winning 2-1, still unsure of the circumstances of the goal conceded.

Brugge romped it in the second half with three goals, FT 4-1, Ryan with nothing much to do.

Amini has just got a harder job with Dortmund signing attacking midfielder Kevin Kampl, a Slovenian international. I prefer Amini deeper anyway but it'll be tough for him to break into the first team.

He should have sought a loan to Buli.2 or even somewhere in Austria or Turkey. The guy needs to be playing at a higher level than the 3. Liga.

True but those pre season games were promising plus Klopp is known for a few wild decisions but Amini really needs to get a move to the above mentioned leagues.

Would love to see him playing regularly in Buli 2 and then work his way up from there.

At this rate, the possibilities next season of Amini getting into the first team at Dortmund and him playing for a Buli.2 side may not be mutually exclusive!
