Weidenfeller had a good game for Dortmund. Langerak probably on the outer again.

Wilkshire starting
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Cesena with a surprising lead, Lazio without the chance to take the luxury of blooding their youngster, all three subs made, no Ikon.

Too bad his club has a poor track record of blooding their development players. Lotito basically bought Salernitana and sends a lot of youth players there for experience but with very few ever returning to the first team. Most of them end up in Serie C. With dual ownership laws changing in Serie A next season i expect this to change somewhat for the better and Serie A clubs actually put more time and effort into youth development. Having said that, I think it would be wise for Ikon to start thinking about some senior football, somewhere in Italy.

Probably not exactly related to any Aussies abroad but Honda is back playing for AC Milan already. playing now , that was quick.. looking like a lost school boy. Could Japan players lose a bit of their panache.. after this early dropout from Asian Cup. Don't seem as fearsome as they were Edited by highkick05: 2/2/2015 07:55:05 AM
