Babalj coming on, but PEC Zwolle down to ten men. Going to be a tough debut.

I think that was Sainsbury announced as man of the match. Made so many stops it is ridiculous.

wow in the last minute Sainsbury just chased back 3 attackers, he made up like 15 metres on them and intercepted the final ball. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. His team still lost 0-1 though.

haha another one in the final minute, 3v1 and he cut out the pass for a certain 2nd goal. Oar played 89 minutes in a 6-1 win
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Well with Roar product Stef Nijland copping the red, the door is open for Eli to start next game!

Took up some dangerous positions and did more in his short cameo than Nijland before getting sent off. Good chance of moving ahead in the pecking order if he can put in a decent shift in the next game. Edited by Higashi: 16/2/2015 02:40:21 AM

90 minutes for Behich against Besiktas in a 3:2 lost. Tough luck to Bursaspor conceding a penalty in extra time after equalising just a minute earlier.

Full 90 for Aziz against Beziktas, losing 3-2 in the 94th minute to a Demba Ba penalty.

Wow some great form being shown by some of the boys overseas. Happy to hear Babalj has finally got an opportunity at that level and I think Sainsbury might be in with a real chance to take the next step and move to PSV if he continues his form from the Asian Cup. Aziz getting 90 against Besiktas is fantastic in what seemed to be a hard fought game. Surely he is still a priority over Davidson in the Germany friendly.
Too bad for Brillante not to see any minutes at the Giuseppe Meazza, would have been a great experience for him. However to still be in consideration as a sub shows he is in their long term plans. An 18 month loan is plenty of time to work your way into the starting line-up.

Bowden wrote:The Club Brugge fans made a giant tifo for Maty last night to congratulate him on winning the Asian Cup :) Australian Legend - Our Hero Edited by Bowden: 16/2/2015 12:07:59 PM That is just extra-ordinary - they're clearly taken to Maty Ryan! In a way, he's continued to grow, grow alot, during his time with the club. Becoming Australia's #1 goalkeeper and now an Asian Cup winner, all during his time at Brugge. Alot of mutual prestige and kudos, going both ways. He's 'Their Maty' aswell as 'Our Maty' and will be interesting to see when and where his next club destination will be - but whenever that is, they clearly will be sad to see him go! When have we last seen such affection for one of our Aussies Abroad - I doubt it's that unique, but it would nice to be reminded? :-k

BIGHUX wrote:Kennedy at Nagoya got similar treatment Ah that's right! Thank you! It's always impressive, isn't it! That's an achievement in itself I believe - no bigger reflection of your impact and performance levels, than becoming a cult figure for fans and tributes like both these boys have witnessed in their careers!
