Anyone know what's going on with Nichols?

Yep. I seriously rate Andy Rose.
He's very mobile and can score goals.

in the mls...

Which is better than probably any league in Asia...

Would comfortably back the top Japanese teams against the top MLS teams. Japanese clubs move the ball far more fluidly and incisively as a team than MLS teams. Plus i've found the MLS to be fairly ordinary when it comes to tactics.

Too many coaches don't know how to move beyond 4-4-2 with reliance on pacy wingers and forwards.

Had never heard of him until now. Very tall and seems to get a lot of matches. Born in Oz but went to England for his training. You'd think he'd consider playing for Australia as England and USA are probably impossible. I'll have to check him out a bit.

That'd be awesome actually. A J,K,A, Chinese MLS tournament. The Pacific Cup? :D The Coral Sea Trophy :D MLS is such a mixed bag at times. You see some very decent play but a lot of rigid movements.

I saw in April that Katsetis signed for some Slovakian club. Looking it up today they won the title and will be going into the Champions league 2nd round qualifiers. They are in pot 2 so are going to lose most likely with teams like Celtic in pot 1 but I thought it was kinda interesting.

EDIT: Going on their website I really like the design of the league trophy. Not a massive fan of the big wood pottom with past winners but the trophy out of football parts is cool imo

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

1-1 half time, Behich is doing well. Not enough flare smoke though, it's only covered the pitch a few times.

Annoying that Leicester have signed Fuchs from Schalke who plays the exact same position as Elder. Another season on loan will do young Callum well. I think with Schlupp, Fuchs and others he'll have a hard time getting game time at left back.

Yep. He's a box to box midfielder. I watched him play live a couple of times when I was living in North America. He's very mobile for such a big unit. Built the same as Partaluu, but I'd rate him well above Erik.
He can tackle, carries the ball well (but I never saw him beat a player), is great in short passing exchanges and can also hit a few long balls. Scores goals too.

On MLS match day programs, he's listed as English, but I reckon Ange could change that.

Katsetis is in the Champions league 2nd qualifying round with FK AS Trencin

Also there is the UEFA Youth league where De Silva (Roma), Vujika (Dinamo Zagreb) and Jimenez (Villareal for now) are all qualified. Also if Inter win the youth league and Piscopo gets promoted to the primavera side (was their juniors top scorer) he could play.

Blake Ricciuto has lost out in the play-off semi finals 4-2 on aggregate (the lost 2-1 twice). Now he will return to Penarol. He has played a good amount of games and helped a team to the promotion play-offs so hopefully Penarol will give him a chance or another first division tea will look at giving him a try.

This article says Weidenfeller is out and Burki is being brought in as competition for Langerak. That's misleading. Dortmund are clearly signing Burki with a view to him being the first-choice goalkeeper. Obviously, Langerak hasn't convinced Dortmund. He should move right now if he wants to avoid another spell of bench-warming.

Roman Bürki could not prevent Freiburg's relegation despite good performances

The keeper carousel takes rapid ride in Dortmund...

Tuchels goalie-Theater: now it rappelt in the box!

Image Info is Freiburg's Roman Bürki (24) in the approach. The Swiss should agree with the BVB!

Bürki is allowed to leave the Brisgavi after the second division relegation for the stipulated fee of 4.5 million euros. A 3-year contract is waiting for him in Dortmund. Bürki will provide with Mitchell Langerak (26) in preparation for a battle for the number 1 itself.

However, world champion Roman Weidenfeller (34) in the plans of new coach Thomas Tuchel (41) supposedly no longer matters. Although he has still contract with Borussia until 2016. It is but virtually ruled out that he is put under the Klopp's successor on the bench.

Weidenfeller should find a new Club the BVB bosses will be no large stones in the way him after 13 years.

Dortmund's third goalkeeper Zlatan Talal (23) makes the bend: it is after the departure of Tobias Sippel (Gladbach) new replacement in Kaiserslautern.

In addition, Tuchel installed also a new goalkeeper Coordinator: Thomas Schlieck (45) comes from RB Leipzig, is responsible for the Borussia Dortmund for the care of players the youth teams up to the U of 23.

The goalkeeper quake at Borussia - only one is not affected: Teddy de Beer (51): the Dortmund veteran (since 1987 in the Club!) remains too under Tuchel of next goalkeeper.

So, possible moves for Aussies this European summer:

Mat Ryan- linked with a few big leagues, and most notable reported interest includes Liverpool and Roma.
Jason Davidson- reportedly in negotiations with a team in La Liga. Also reported interest from Turkey and the Middle East.
Tommy Oar- what's going on here? There was apparently strong interest from Ajax but this seemed to have waned. A few rumours doing the rounds he's in talks with Watford.
James Troisi- you'd imagine it'd be highly unlikely he'll be staying at Juventus. He mentioned the other day that following from the Germany game there was interest within Europe. Probably about time he secured a permanent move somewhere where he was a regular.
Tomi Juric- Sydney FC and Newcastle Jets linked with him, but hopefully there is some interest in Europe. Good player, ready for the step up I think.
James Holland- left Austria Vienna after a few very solid seasons. Who knows where he's off to now... Hopefully stays in Europe though.
Mustafa Amini- Was in talks with a team in Denmark (Randers?) and Belgium, no?
Chris Herd- contract is about to expire with Villa I believe. Be interesting whether Asia or Australia beckons. Do think he is good enough to remain in Europe though.
Aaron Mooy- read in the rumour mill article by FourFourTwo he was attracting interest in Europe. Fair enough too, had a great season.
Mark Milligan- wonder if he'll chase the big bucks at Baniyas in the UAE?
Nathan Burns- has apparent interest in Asia and Europe, with FC Tokyo most notably reported the other day.
Terry Antonis- wonder if his last couple of performances against Chelsea and Tottenham would have attracted a bit of interest abroad?
Tomi Mrcela- said the other day he may look for a new challenge elsewhere after a few good season in Croatia.
Mile Jedinak- seems highly unlikely but you never know...
Mitchell Langerak- pure speculation, but if he isn't in Dortmund's plans to be number one next season surely it's time to move on.
Matthew Spiranovic- also pure speculation, but if he was to secure a move abroad, now would surely be the best opportunity.
Rhys Williams- after a long time out injured, I wonder if a move from Middlesbrough is on the cards? Probably be the best for a fresh start.

Confirmed moves

Massimo Luongo- from Swindon to QPR.
Bernie Ibini- Shanghai SIPG to Club Brugge
Adam Federici- Reading to Bournemouth
Danny De Silva- from Perth to Roma
Jack Duncan- Perth to Randers
Ivan Franjic- Torpedo Moscow to Melbourne City

Probably missing a fair few. Either way, an interesting couple of months coming up. Could be huge changes for some of our key Socceroos.
