Man I don't even know what you're arguing about because the decision was made, a promising kid has had some experience in some national camps and the minutes he played he didn't look at all out of place so surely it wasn't a bad decision from Ange. Back on topic though, Amini starting Randers already 1 nil up. He just had a decent shot on goal forcing a save. Cracking first half from Amini. A number of sumptuous passes on the menu.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Full game for Amini in the 2-0 win for Randers. More going on for him and the team in the first half, but he was influential.

Is this an argument for the sake of an argument? I've been following this quote-fest, and I can't even work out what your contention is. Is it that he shouldn't be in the Socceroos squad? Is it that he's not actually very good? What is it?

Is it that he's not actually very good? What is it? I think the contention of his argument is that he has only ever played youth football and as such shouldn't be considered ahead of a player who is playing regularly in the A-League. Which with a country with such a thin talent pool as ours is a bit silly because Ikon has shown more than enough in camp and his limited Socceroos minutes that he'll fit Ange ball well - the senior caps will come at club level. If we had a million players spread out across the globe it'd be a different story, but we don't, so we have to buck traditional modes of thinking from time to time.

For an Australian to break through now at a big club is a lot more harder than it was 20 years ago, when the likes of Zelic, Okon and Viduka did it with ease in the 90s.
There is more talent that any euro club can choose from than ever before, due to huge influx of players outside of Europe and the large investments in youth development made worldwide.
For young Chris he just needs to buck the trend and be patient looking for his break.

I dont mean to jump the gun completely blind here, but in the very little ive seen of Ikon, notably his last appearance off the bench, hes going to be an important member for the socceroos in the future. He looked so assured on the ball, but not only this, but every thing he did was precise, instead of the pointless byline and cross or deep cross alot of our wide players contribute he made some very calculated final balls. I really think if he cant get gametime before January which i doubt due to Lazios riches in wide men, hed be a very good option for bottom half serie A sides.

Also, is it true Roda had given the #9 and #10 shirts to Juric and Da Silva? Pretty big wraps if that's the case.
