He's a young lad, with a mildly reactive flair and he's grown up in British football... This is a fantastic move. Apparently not according to adrtho and his cronies. my cronies  i don't think anybody is my cronies he be far better off, back playing in Australia, with a better standard of team After his last stint in Aus, I suspect agents/managers would be avoiding him.... if Australia going to have a team full of Aussie playing in SPL , then we can't expect Australia to be better the Scotland , because Even Scotland would not pick players from (non-Celtic) SPL teams  P.s just look at Scotland NT, not one player plays for (non-Celtic) SPL team in last 12 months, their has been 4 players from (non-Celtic) SPL team in Scotland NT Squad, 2 players are GK who never played for Scotland and another 2 players are DF who also never played for Scotland....fucking zero in the last year as my (European) friend just said , only Australia are dumb cunts who keep picking players from (non-Celtic) SPL , Scotts, Irish, Walsh sure as hell don't Edited by adrtho: 25/9/2015 11:51:55 PM Maybe, just maybe, the Australian players aren't as good as some people seem to believe they are? Also, what other interest did these players have from other clubs that would have been a better option for them? Or he is a 21 year old kid still developing. This was my original point. Thistle is not a good place for developing as a player, very few places in Scotland are. This is a very backwards step in my opinion. I will be surprised, pleasantly even, if he reaches his full potential there and becomes a major component of the national team. Fair point about the club and potential development but we have to remember he was uncontracted for a long time and sometimes beggars can't be choosers. The agent and him might view this as a stepping stone move. Exavtly but what i was alluding to was that things can only get better from here if he wants it to. However I don't believe he will be used much at NT level.

Not sure how much to make of it, but it's very interesting. apart from the fact that tardtho just invents fantasy stats on his six fingered hands and mixes them in his spud cauldron with a few googled facts.. there are a lot more complications and nuances regarding the current state of our national team. the abyss of development and the terrible perceptions of our players and NT has left us picking up the pieces. pound for pound we are outperforming teams with rosters littered in more prestigious clubs. also we have a manager who is shifting gears into 4 year cycles with a dedicated style of play. just look at where we are now compared to the end of the holger doldrums in terms of the NT and OS aussie contracts.. things are improving.

Luongo started as as 10 in QPR's 4-0 defeat to Fulham. Fans were singing "we're fucking shit" after the game. :(

Burns on in the 60th minute Duke came off in the 32nd minute... not sure why. Holland suspended
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

lukerobinho wrote:ikonomidis back in the primavera today, not as close to the first team as some suggested So 6+3=8? Or maybe they want him to stretch his legs? Or maybe it's a Primavera game which they reckon they need him for if they want to win it? Keita played in the Primavera team which played in the cup final, despite (as far as I'm aware) barely playing for them in other matches.

Most likely hes just not good enough.
Just like most of the other italian teams they are happy to waste young players careers sitting them on the sideline. Week in week out.

Just like most of the other italian teams they are happy to waste young players careers sitting them on the sideline. Week in week out. I think we need to draw some distinctions here. First problem is certain people are constructing false dichotomies. It's either all or nothing. The fact that Chris hasn't started for Lazio means, in the eyes of some, he's not a particularly decent footballer or isn't going to play for Lazio ever. This is nonsense. He mightn't walk into the Lazio first team but he's still doing very good stuff. The fact that he makes matchday squads for a club like Lazio (never mind how many subs they're allowed) at his age is meaningful. In saying that, there's a chance Lazio will be quite happy for Chris to be in their squad for ages and never to play him. The onus is on Chris and his management, not just to get to a level whereby they most likely play him but also, to be ready to move if this continues for too long. But it's early days. A sense of perspective is what is needed. Edited by quickflick: 26/9/2015 10:58:55 PM

Another reason Italy need to introduce B teams or reserve teams that could play in the lower divisions like they do in Spain, Germany etc.
They have a habit of rotting young players on the benches.
