Langerak was 2nd GK at very good Dortmund (at one point , the 4th best club team in World) now Ryan look like he will be 2nd GK at Valencia (8th best in world) this would put Ryan in exactly the same position that Langerak was for all those year he was at Dortmund

also adding

when Langerak come back for injury and start playing as 1st choice GK for Stuttgart (a team that about the same as Brugge is) the situation will be completely reverse

Langerak has been very heavily criticized for being 2nd GK at a very good Dortmund for all those years, it be interesting to see what people say about Ryan (if) he is also 2nd GK at a slightly inferior Valencia team...also see if Ryan keep number 1 Socceroos GK if he not playing regular football, and Langerak is

My opinion is that langerak never went on loan when he should have. If Ryan gets in that position he should look to be loaned.

it interesting that Langerak never went on loan....transfermarkets has Langerak as having only a Aussie passport, now i don't know the rules in Germany or for German Football (I hope someone knows) but I believe this might have something to do with this...Kruse and Taggart also have only Aussie passports (according to transfermarkets ) and they have both gone on Loan ...I don't know the answer, and like to find out if it's some how restricting movement of Aussie only passports once they have a work visa

They used to have a limit on non EU players, but I don't think they do any more. Their only limiting factor seems to be that each club needs to have a certain number of squad players trained at the club for a specific number of years, iirc it's 12 players.

Pretty sure he's good to go and has got limited minutes.

Kruse is always injured but it wouldnt matter because he is in loan away from pharmaceutical reps.

Firstly he is on loan at Stuttgart, so Son leaving Leverkusen makes no difference and secondly he picked up another injury a week or two ago. He's played 1 or 2 games max at Stuttgart so far.

Can we start an "Aussies Abroad: Airing Of Grievances" thread that everyone can go bitch and moan and argue in so I don't have to filter through 5 pages of utter shite before I find out who got injured this week. It's always a let down when you see this thread has an extra 3 pages since the last time you looked, only too see that it's a quote off between 3 or 4 people. Dude, he's been loaned to Stuttgart and is injured but they are getting hammered so he should get plenty of game time. Came off the bench the first match after being loaned then got injured.

Thanks I just looked. I'd have thought Leverkusen would have kept him given they sold Son. Oh well.

Not a good start at Stuttgart for the Aussies, both injured. Stuttgart is also one win from 7 I see. 9 Scored, 17 against.
