I was just about to post that Elder goal. Fantastic reaction after it was blocked.

Full match for Wilkinson today as well.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Ikon 90min bench. Would an A-League loan be such a bad thing? I worry a loan in Italy would just see him on a big bench again.

Yeah it's clear that Lazio's new signing from Ajax is higher in the pecking order, time to seek a loan move, although there'll be plenty of other suitors in Europe, I'm sure.

I'm sure there will be suitors in Europe too. Even a loan move to a Serie B side would probably be more preferable to coming back home at this stage, although you could probably see him slotting straight into the Wanderers line up and he is a Sydney boy.

Rogic was alright when he came on, nearly scored a header if I recall correctly. McGowan played 90 and was pretty poor (along with the whole team). Got skinned by Ciftci at one point but recovered well. Taggart got absolutely nothing, felt sorry for him. What a woeful team to be loaned out to.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Weekend Round up:

EPL:

Mile Jedinak came on at 76 mins for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 away loss to Leicester for whom Mark Schwarzer was an unused sub.
Adam Federici was also an unused sub as Bournemouth were smashed 5-1 at home by Tottenham.

Championship:

Bailey Wright played 90 mins and Neil Kilkenny was an unused sub in Preston's 0-0 away draw with Brighton and Hove Albion
Jason Davidson played 90 mins for Huddersfield in their 2-1 home loss to Derby County
Shane Lowry was not in the Birmingham squad that lost 2-0 away to Hull
Tommy Oar was not in the Ipswich squad that drew 1-1 away to Nottingham Forest.
Massimo Luongo returned to the starting line-up and played 57 mins in QPR's 3-0 home win over MK Dons.

League One:

Ryan Williams was not in the Barnsley squad that lost 1-0 at home to Fleetwood Town.
Brad Inman played 90 mins and Dan Nizic was an unused sub in Crewe's 2-0 away loss to Blackpool.

Chris Herd again started and played 87 mins in Chesterfield's 3-0 home loss to Scunthorpe.
Callum Elder played 90 mins and scored a goal as Peterborough won 4-0 at home to Doncaster.
James Wesolowski was not in the Shrewsbury squad in their 2-0 home win over Bury.

League Two:

Alex Cisak played 90 mins in Leyton Orient's 1-0 away win over Morecambe.

La Liga:

Mat Ryan was not in the Valencia squad that lost 2-1 away to Athletico Madrid.

Serie A:

Ben Halloran came on at 80 mins for Heidenheim in their 1-0 away loss to Eintracht Braunschweig.

Regionalliga West:

Eredivisie:

Trent Sainsbury played 90 mins in Zwolle's 2-1 home loss to Utrecht for whom Adam Sarota was not in the squad. Zwolle conceded a penalty in the 93rd minute that was converted and co-inciced with Sainsbury receiving a yellow card so sounds like he gave away a last minute penalty.
Rostyn Griffiths and Tomi Juric both played 90 mins and De Silva came on at 68 mins with Juric scoring a goal in Roda's 2-1 home loss to Excelsior. Its Juric's 4th goal in 6 appearances in all competitions since joining the club.

Duncan and Amini with Randers play tomorrow morning.

Apostolis Giannou played 85 mins and scored 2 goals in Asteras Tripoli's 2-1 away win over Pas Giannina. He has scored 7 goals in 8 matches this season.
Kerem Bulut came on at half-time for Iraklis but couldn't prevent his team from being thrashed 5-1 away to AEK Athens.

J-League:

Nathan Burns was not in the Tokyo squad that lost 4-3 at home to Urawa Reds.

Good to see Elder score.
I expect we'll see him in the next roos squad, since Ange isn't impressed by Behich and has now had a look at James Meridith.

I thought he is not fully fit that's why he hasn't been in recent squads?

Did Brad smith end up signing for that club he was training with ?

Amini played 68 mins and Duncan was an unused sub in Randers's 1-1 home draw with OB.

"Things that happen in the zionist league?" --> Ruka starts and scores a hat-trick in Beitar Jerusalem's 4-2 away win over Maccabi Tel Aviv. Unshackled reportedly very mad.

Poor Bournemouth have shipped 5 goals in two consecutive matches probably more to do with the quality of the attacks they were coming up against.

Next week they play Liverpool so they should be comfortable for a low scoring draw then and hopefully Fed is between the sticks. And this is coming from a Liverpool fan.

He had that great couple of years early on for Glory where he played as a striker and scored a bunch of goals. Can be a frustrating player at times but wouldn't be surprised to see if he gets a call up in the next squad. Just scored a hat-trick away to one of the league's best teams in Maccabi Tel Aviv. Still only 28.

That is obviously part of it, but a chunk of those 10 goals were a direct result of goalkeeping errors, including two from Fed last week.

Nothing has been announced. He finished training with them on last week. It has been a busy week at the club though with an Europa league game in Italy then winning the title yesterday and since he is for next season I doubt there is a massive rush to sign (or at least announce) him.

Does Ruka even strike? He never did that here.

Do you mean is he a striker?

He had that great couple of years early on for Glory where he played as a striker and scored a bunch of goals. Can be a frustrating player at times but wouldn't be surprised to see if he gets a call up in the next squad. Just scored a hat-trick away to one of the league's best teams in Maccabi Tel Aviv. Still only 28.

Wouldn't call him up from one games performance. We have done that a lot lately and we shouldn't do that again.

I think he has 5 from 5 games. I don't think he'll get a call up but you never know.

If he does get the call I won't be shocked but I would hope he can do the business.

Degenek plays away at Mainz in the morning.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
