Ikonomidis should be looking for a loan move tbh. You have to be getting game time at that age. It is such a crucial age for development.

In other good news for Ikon's prospective, it seems Ricardo Krishna has an injury, and Keita Balde has been suspended for four Europa League games. That's the other two young gun wingers out of the way. Actually, no they won't, the game is same time tomorrow.  Stoked now that I don't have to leave for work at half time, then. Edited by paladisious: 10/12/2015 06:56:11 AM He really needs to leave Lazio... If he's stuck behind two other young wingers and is 5th in line or so, he's never going to get a decent run. And let's face it... He's not getting any younger Yeah the signing of Krishna was the tipping point for me to say he should find minutes elsewhere, but hopefully he gets the chance to kill it for Lazio before the next opportunity to go on loan comes up too.

Brillante continues collecting splinters at the bottom of Serie B.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Has Smith been capped officially yet? Should call up Smith and Elder in place of Behich and Davidson.

Smith played four friendlies for us last year, so has been capped at senior level, but not yet locked in as I understand. Wouldn't complain in the slightest if Smith and Elder were the two LB's in the next Socceroos squad.

Commentator just said that Smith was still paid by Liverpool for the whole time while they maintained his registration, so it doesn't seem like there'd be too much bad blood from Kloop's perspective.

Liverpool only look like scoring from a Brad Smith cross down the left hand side..
BT sport commentator has said Brad Smith was probably Liverpool best players , but not really a stand out night for Liverpool

England have a totally different system to the rest of the world. This business that you can get a large transfer fee for Ings they want 10 million pounds when a player is off contract is bizzare. The English PFA chairman gets paid millions of pounds a season recently awarded himself a couple of million pounds a year pay rise , PFA get a small percentage fee of the EPL TV rights. A system like this in Australia would have the PFA frothing with a rabies froth. England I suppose they have the EPL paying them super money and don;t give a stuff.

Smith named man of the match on bbc.com http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/35055770Quote:Man of the match - Liverpool's new Aussie…
Bradley Smith (centre) had only made two substitute appearances for Liverpool previously An impressive full debut for left-back Bradley Smith was also a plus-point. He showcased pace and an attacking instinct throughout, crossing for Origi to misfire a volley early on and Liverpool's attacks - particularly in the first half - were through the 21-year-old. Australian-born, Smith is now a full international for the Socceroos despite playing for England at under-17 and under-20 level. His opportunity under Klopp marks a turnaround as, having spent seven years in the club's academy, he almost left when his contract expired in the summer, before signing a new deal last month.
