Paartalu finally returned to action. Started and played 53 minutes in a 2-1 win. Jeonbuk are in 2nd.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

I have no idea whom he meant. Well at least Edwards is visiting his dad in Malaysia, no word of a signing though. EG on the pingas IMO.

Just noticed Düsseldorf have released a lot of players. Wouldn't be the worst place for Kruse to go.

McGowan, Cahill, Sainsbury, Jovanovic starting in China. No Spira. Milligan up against Al Ain in a cup semi later on (Abdulrahman's club).

Jedinak starting in FA Cup final. Would be amazing to see him lift the cup as captain.

For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

Cabaye has been terrible so far. Jedinak involved but the ball generally flying over his area with the long balls.

Ffs a decent attack by palace called back when letting advantage go on would've seen a chance.

He needs constant starts in the first or second league.

Jedinak playing very well and really in the thick of things. CP as a whole are sitting very deep and defending for their lives.

Jedinak has been all right. He has been much too slow against Fellaini on 3 occasions that I counted. One of which was good because he slowed Fellaini up as they contested a header going for a corner.
Hasn't looked particularly fluid on the ball.
But he's there to stop goals being scored and it's nil all.

Interesting quote from Martin Tyler regarding the wonderful Juan Mata.
I paraphrase-
Mata would be the best player every week if the field was half the size. But he does struggle for pace as it is.
End of paraphrasing. It does seem to me that even with amazing technical skill, it's very difficult for players to cut it at this level without a degree of athletic ability.
The best these days seem to combine technique and speed/agility.
I think a Paul Scholes type player can do all right (Scholes being able to think about 2 or 3 steps ahead of the game). And Mata can too, just.
But at least half the team needs to be very fast.

Bounced just before he hit it, if he got to it 10cm closer on the low volley he would have smashed it.
