They can do as they like. Nobody stopped them from doing it... but, by the same token, the fans have every right to let the player know how they feel about their decision.

These fans supported them for x amount of years while they played for their club. They indirectly paid these players by purchasing tickets, memberships, merchandise etc. Do the fans have no right to let the players know how they feel after they walk out on them?

well i am 5 generation Australian it comes natural to me......it's about giving people a fair go and understanding that there might have been extenuating circumstances that forced their hands to leave......there are always 3 sides of a story,

Fans with an attachment to a club rarely need more than one side of the story - their own. You walked out on my club, you play for the opposition now, you're a target. It's that simple.

It happens all over the world. It happens in the A-League. Why should the NSWPL be any different?

As I said, if players cant handle it then they should think about taking up a job where they arent watched by hundreds/thousands of people and are prone to criticism.

There's no set rule. Some players are considered to be part of the fabric of a club. Makrys was certainly one of those at Olympic. Both he an Giannaros have been there for years, since their youth days if I'm not mistaken

Olympic fans are entitled to boo and cheer as much as they want
You pay your 15 dollars and your allowed to clap cheer or sit there as a puppet


As long you dont pysicaly attack the player or swear things about his family etc
we can do want ever we want

Markys was our captain since 2011 a junior who played for Bankstown for
5 years havent left and come back


As for his not being treating right

1 One of the highest paid players in the team
2 Every free kick and penalty he took whilst there were others
just as good or even better
3 Guy was a favourite with the board and coaching staff
even when not even 100 per cent fit or didnt go to all the
training sessions during the week he played
4 During his 5 year away from Olympic his dad was at Olympic
home and away games despite his son not playing at the club
5 The booing was he was the first player that walked when
Tsekenis and Flea left
6 Giannaros was only boored when he got a yellow card near the end of
the game


Markys copped constant boieing for a wild tackle which got him
a yellow card and when Spartans scored the guy celebrated like
he just won a grant final

Cant wait for Triantis to cope it just as hard to want Markys copped
when we play United

Cracking 4-1 win today, second half especially, almost completely dominant. Great volley by Tricky followed up with a 2nd half hat-trick from Glavas who now has just 4 goals to beat Arnie's club record. Puts us now just 1 pt behind Sutho with a huge game against Bonnyrigg next week, and almost as importantly now put us 6pts ahead of 4th and 8 ahead of 5th.

Only downside being the serious looking knee injury to Chris Triantis, looked in a fair amount of pain.

Looked like it might have been his ACL. You're unlikely to be in that much pain with anything else
